Yes, he can in a very low voice. He looks great while he's doing it too.

Last night I watched, 'Stop-Loss.' An Iraq war hero Sgt, comes back to Texas after a tour in Iraq, and thinks he is done serving, until he discovers that he has to go back and serve another tour against his will. Great story, and heartbreaking to know that stop-loss really exists for millions of soldiers in the U.S

Apparently there's a sequel planned. Oh please! Don't!

She's actually been getting okay over the last few years.....also this was directed by the chap that did the excellent Dog Soldiers and Descent....so I personally expected it to be wicked....it wasn't....maybe he is better on a smaller budget (this was quite an expensive film to make).

It is okay....surprised it's a proper film though...thought it'd be more direct to video.

Juno. Excellent dialogue and pretty enjoyable. 7/10. Hey KK, wasn't Wizard of Gore the movie they watched in that??
|
Could be as I think Wizrd of Gore is 2006/2007....I've not seen all of Juno yet (got this bad habit of watching half a film and then taking ages to watch the second half).
I watched most of Hellboy 2 yesterday....su fucking perb!!!

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
Shallow Grave (1995)
Ewan McGregor
After three Edinburgh roommates (Ewan McGregor, Christopher Eccleston, and Kerry Fox) finally choose a new roommate they can live with, they find him dead on the floor with a suitcase full of cash. While trying to remove the body and extricate themselves from the situation, they wade hip-deep into a world of drugs, greed, and madness.
5/10. I went back to revisit this movie that I watched 13 years ago when it was first released. At the time, I thought it was over-rated and up-it's-arse. But since then I've matured and I've gained a whole new perspective. So I gave it another chance. The verdict? It's over-rated and up-it's-arse.
The quirkiness and psuedo-intellectual bullshit of the three flatmates soon wears thin and while the movie has its moments, Danny Boyle's gone on to make far better films.

I absolutely LOVED Shallow Grave. I saw it when it first came out on VHS (ha ha) then I saw it again a few years later.

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
For a first film with a low budget (had to sell props to get film stock)...it's very good indeed (although did you know that Boyle's producer on it and other films is the late GREAT Emeric Pressburger's grandson!). Kind of a British version of Blood Simple.

I watched Live Freaky Die Freaky as it has some members from my favorite bands in it. It was a laugh and the points put across were very true.
Fuck it, I can't get a photo up.

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
Saw A River Runs Through It, with Brad Pitt and some other actor who played brothers who were fishermen. One went off to college many states away while the other worked in a local newspaper office (Pitt). The two reunited after a few years...the college boy was a bit rusty with his rod, but Pitt fixed him up and taught him the ropes again.
Pitt's addiction to gambling gets him in trouble, but the whole film rolls along quite nicely with some nice longshots of the mountain and river scenery.

I'm really rather aghast at how weak a film Indiana Jones 4 is. What an utterly soulless and witless exercise of a film.

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
^ Hmmm...I was thinking about seeing that one, but saw Mummy 3 instead.
Just got done watching Starship Troopers. I had no idea until Googling this that the movie has quite a cult following (may be time to resurrect the cult film thread...). Looks like 3 parts??
I think I saw part one anyways. Lots of good action, good storyline, and I like that guy as the Drill Sergeant...the same guy who plays the prison guard in that movie about the two guys who meet up in prison and one digs a tunnel in behind a poster of a movie beauty queen to eventually escape. Name escapes me at the moment.

We went a couple of weeks ago to that one, because the wife wanted to....I barely stayed awake, and didn't feel it worth mentioning here. 3/10
