Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden? (2008)
Morgan Spurlock
If Morgan Spurlock has learned anything from over 30 years of movie-watching, its that if the world needs saving, its best done by one lone man willing to face danger head on to take it down, action hero style. So, with no military experience, knowledge or expertise, he sets off to do what the CIA, FBI and countless bounty hunters have failed to do: find the worlds most wanted man.
9/10. Hats off to Morgan Spurlock for making this docufilm and going into some seriously dangerous territories. A very good follow-up to the excellent
Supersize Me and a thoroughly enjoyable hour and a half's viewing.
Secrets and Lies (1996)
Brenda Blethyn, Timothy Spall
Successful black woman traces her birth mother to a lower-class white woman, who denies it; emotions run high as everyone's secrets are exposed.
10/10. I treated myself to a Mike Leigh double bill last night. Secrets and Lies I watched for about the fourth time and it's a film that just gets better. A real Mike Leigh masterpiece! For me, only 'Nuts in May', 'Grown Ups' and very possibly 'Career Girls' beat this one.

All or Nothing (2002)
Timothy Spall
Penny's love for her partner, taxi-driver Phil, has run dry. He is a gentle, philosophical guy, and she works on the checkout at a supermarket. Their daughter Rachel cleans in a home for elderly people, and their son Rory is unemployed and aggressive. The joy has gone out of Phil's and Penny's life, but when an unexpected tragedy occurs, they are brought together to rediscover their love.
8/10. It's not my favorite Mike Leigh offering but has some magical moments and a sublime performance from Timothy Spall (yet again) but it's bleak even by Mike Leigh's standards.
