Dark Knight - loved it.
When I watched Elite Squad the subtitles were ok, but it was an official dvd.

I watched Dragon Hunter last night for the second time in a row.
It's a damned good animated film - very original. Well worth downloading and watching.
If you have kids, they'll love it too.

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
Wild at heart - British series about a vet and his second wife who take their various children to Seth Africa to revive a rundown animal farm.
The women in your life will love the romantic stuff. As for the blokes, well there are lots of cool animals, glorious scenery and running about the bush in 4WDs chasing tigers, elephants etc. What do you do when a rhinocerous takes up residence in your swimming pool?
So its a case of you and yours being able to watch the same series for different reasons.
6/10

Bigger, Stronger, Faster*
A documentary about the use of steroids in sports. The writer/director also tries to link the use of steroids to the "American Dream", but this seemed to be a bit of stretch from my viewpoint.
I found it to be pretty interesting, but won't go so far as to recommend it.
Bonus question: Who can name all four people partially hidden by the sign?

^The baseball player is Barry Bonds. No clue who the other 3 are. The guy in the suit might be Schwartzenegger, but I didn't think he used steroids, did he?

Watched this classic cult movie:
Predictable and extremely gruesome. Starring Richard Bolla of Debie does Dallas fame. His short lived acting career as a regular actor.
cult movie lovers 7.5/10
regular people 3.5/10

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
The Art of Travel (2008)
High school grad. Conner Layne is about to marry his first love, but when wedding plans fail, he goes solo on his honeymoon to Central America, finding adventure with a ragtag group of foreigners who attempt to cross the Darien Gap in record time.
4/10. A movie about travel but trust me - this one doesn't go anywhere. I can't think of a single demographic that this would appeal to. It's basically a young guy bumming across South America. Very bland.
Away From Her (2007)
Julie Christie, Gordon Pinsent
A man coping with the institutionalization of his wife because of Alzheimer's disease faces an epiphany when she transfers her affections to another man, Aubrey, a wheel chair-bound mute who also is a patient at the nursing home.
7/10. A rather morbid slow-burner but strangely compelling. It's a stark reminder of what some of us may have to face as we get older. Not seen Gordon Pinsent before but he's very very good in this.

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
I saw "Burn After Reading" a couple of weeks ago in the USA before coming to the LoS. It was fairly entertaining, but nothing great. Certainly nowhere near as good as any of the classic Coen Brothers films. My favorites of theirs are "The Big Lebowski" which is one of my all time favorite movies ever and "Raising Arizona".
Anyway, Brad Pitt is very good in it. Much better than any of his other recent roles in movies. Is it me or has he been making some bad movies since he hooked up with Anjolina Jolie? Kind of like how Guy Richie hasn't made a decent movie since he hooked up with Madonna. I love his first couple of movies "Lock, Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels" and "Snatch", but he's seems to have done nothing since then. He has a new movie coming out soon called "Rock & Rolla" (or something like that). I hope it's a good one!
George Clooney and Frances McDormand are both good in "Burn After Reading" too. But I think John Malkovich was brilliant in it. He definitely makes the movie worth watching if for nothing else.
All in all i would give "Burn After Reading" a 7 and that might be a little generous. It really wasn't worth seeing in the theater (especially in the US where movie tickets are a lot more than here). But if you're a fan of the Coen Brothers or any of the actors in it, then you might like too and/or more than I did.

Yes - it seems to have got lukewarm reviews all round.
Is it just me or is anyone else finding George Clooney a kiss of death to a decent movie?
Guess I'll still go and see this tho, such is the brilliance of the Cohen's previous stuff.

Clooney was pretty good in "Burn After Reading", but he seems like a bit of a lightweight actor to me. I forgot to mention that "Fargo" is also one of my favorite Coen Bros movies too. Just about anything with Steve Buscemi is OK with me!
