Great movie about street crime in Rio from 1960 - 1980.
8/10
^Hated Righteous Kill. Boring and formulaic. Nothing about it was memorable.
Rigged - Mediocre. Bare knuckle fighting girl.
Chaos Theory - Funny in places. Average
Ghosts Of Mississippi - 1996, directed by Rob Reiner.
Alec Baldwin (said in Kim Jong-Il's voice) plays a lawyer determined to prosecute a racist old fucker that got away with the murder of Medgar Evers, a black civil rights bloke, back in 1963.
Based on true events, this film has a compelling story to work with but unfortunately suffers from the kind of contrived direction that even Steven Spielberg would baulk at employing.
It's also hampered by an overly simplistic, cliche ridden script and some really crappy acting by Whoopi Goldberg and James Woods. Apparently he was nominated for an Oscar for this role. Says a lot about Hollywood.
2/5, but only cos of Baldwin and the story.
We kept waiting
Still nothing changes
It's a shame
^ James Woods never acts crap....wash your mouth out young man!!!![]()
Riddle me this brother can you handle it
Your style to my style you can't hold a candle to it
Equinox symmetry and the balance is right
Smokin' and drinkin' on a Tuesday night
It's not how you play the game it's how you win it
I cheat and steal and sin and I'm a cynic
Rubbish script didn't help, but it was too much like a pantomime villain. Silly.
He is IMO pound for pound probably the best actor of his generation at least since DeNiro and Pacino got crap!!!
hes no steve buscemi
^ Steve is okay...but really not in the Woodster's class mate IMNAAHO!!! Onion Field, Once Upon a Time....shit he's even quite good in the Specialist!!!
Woods in Salvador was simply awesome and Woods would beat Buscemi in a fist fight, so there endith the discussion.
Felon - enjoyable prison movie with lost of unsavoury characters and Val Kilmer was very good. Lots of violence, so not your family movie. 7.5/10
Nim's Island - great family movie. Desert island, funny animals and a solar powered house - what more do you want 8/10 Anyone looked into having solar powers in LoS? Would it be finacially beneficial?
The Station Agent - plodding comedy/drama. Easy to watch and enjoyable 8/10
The Flock - Richard Gere and Clare danes monitoring Paedo's. A bit by the numbers but nevertheless an enjoyable flick. 7.5/10
P2 - recommended by someone on here.Good to see they can still makes horror film where the female victim isn't a dumb cow. She doesn't fall over and makes good decisions. 8/10
Matchstick Men - Shock horror Nicholas Cage can act again. Well worth a watch 8/10
Smiley Face - A comedy about a day in the life of a dopehead. Cliched, but instantly enjoyable. Great to see how the character makes bad decisions, but thinks they are good ones at the time. 7/10
Ridicule is the burden of genius.
Red (2008)
Predictable. Typical American revenge drama. 6/10
I'd already downloaded and watch The Incredible Hulk (2008) but found a torrent for the 2003 version.
Watched it last night and it's way way superior to the 2008 film.
James Woods was really good in "Best Seller" with co-star Brian Dennehy.
But my favorite role from James Woods was the 2 times he's been on Family Guy.
Steve Buscemi is just as good an actor as James Woods IMHO.
Reservoir Dogs, Desperado, Things to do in Denver When You're Dead, Fargo, Con Air
and of course...The Big Lebowski!
