Just watched "Thanks for smoking" Middle of the road humor.
The Departed was awesome.
Also saw Wickerman. I never saw the original, so I was surprised. Still a stupid movie though

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
Watched Superman Returns yesterday.
A fitting flick to continue the franchise, Spacey was good as Lex Luthor, but I found the whole package a bit boring.
I never liked the comic book or Superman's character much in the first place though. Too much of a boy scout.

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
dong gave me a copy. gotta watch it soon.
watched ghost in the shell 1 and 2 the other day. pretty cool animes which seemed to have been the inspiration for the matrix movies. the japs really know how to make their movies interesting and thought-provoking.

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
the new one's out soon - king nauresan, i'm up for it.
sukhothai, for me, was a lot of hard work but eventually pretty rewarding. the newie's meant to be much more of an exploding, violent, epic war movie...we'll see.

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
saw the prestige at the weekend. made by the lad who did memento so was expecting good things.
micheal caine and david bowie are in it and give very good performances, especially caine who steals the limelight from the other lead actors. scarlett johannsen is particularly bosomful in it too
great story, lots of twists, intelligent plot..lots of time shifts but nowhere near as confusing as memento was. cool, thought provoking ending with a dap of existential angst mixed in to make it stick.
it's rate it above the departed myself.

Couldn't finish Snakes on a Plane. Worst movie I've ever seen Sam L Jackson in. Too many rubber snakes for my liking.
