I enjoyed Moonrise Kingdom, the newest Wes Anderson film. Not as good as Rushmore or as funny as The Royal Tenenbaums, but its as good as The Life Aquatic. I imagine it will get better with repeat viewings, as Anderson's quirky style means you notice new oddities with each viewing.

I did not enjoy the latest Woody Allen film, To Rome With Love. Like his last one, Midnight in Paris, it is not based in reality and has boring characters. There were a few laughs from the Thai audience though...Woody's scenes especially (he does well with innocent young Asian girls). Ellen Page is also looking super hot these days.

Just watched 'A Thousand words' a film where Eddie Murphy gets cursed and has only 1000 words he can say then he'll die. So he has to re-evaluate his life and stop being a flash bastard.

Combines classic Murphy with some heart warming moments as he attempts to improve himself and be a better person, all the while he is unable to talk as he has to stay quiet or he gets closer to dying.

I won't say anymore except its well worth seeking out.

I know Murphy has his critics, but this was excellent (probably because half the movie he doesn't speak!) Shows that he can do sincere as well as comedy.

I never take critics as gospel, those movie sites are full of trolls anyway.

Also check out Woody Allen's 'Hollywood Ending' ...hilarious. Google it.

^ I downloaded A Thousand Words on Pat's recommendation and I have to agree.

Murphy's best outing in a long time. Well worth a download!

Slightly more interesting than the turbulence the plane experienced. Elizabeth Banks was a saucy minx. 4/10

...The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel: surprisingly good copy considering we bought it on the beach at Jomtien. The story of Brit retirees seeking refuge at a rundown hotel in Jaipur is charming, though runs to maudlin toward the end. Judi Dench and Maggie Smith were enough to draw us to the movie, though neither one was stretched in their roles...Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire) plays the manic hotel owner: amusing at first, but finally annoying...8/10...

Watched J Edgar: good movie, good perspective on the life of one of the most powerful man of the 20th century, di caprio was pretty good too 7.5/10
Detective Dee: Entertaining but a little bit slow 6.5/10
Shaolin: Pretty good, not as many fighting scenes as i anticipated but still correct 7/10
Trespass: Nicolas Cage in one of his better roles in the last 5 years, predictible plot but still watchable 6.5/10

Good horrors are hard to find. When I heard this had 7.8 on IMDB I couldn't wait to see it.

What a let down! Big brother meets evil dead. Not a comedy and not a horror. I didn't laugh once and I have been more terrified by a basket of cute puppies. The 'acting' was 'B' movie stuff. The movie just doesn't know what it is. I was totally confused and...bored. Switched it off with about 20 mins left as I couldn't take anymore of it. My wife and three friends have also seen it and they all thought it was shit. That rating is confusing.

Huge let down and if this got 7.8 on IMDB...I'm not trusting them anymore.

    2/10

IMDB is worthless. Rottentomatoes critic score or nothing for me.
