Just watched 'Die Welle (The Wave).'
German movie based on a true story (not sure how accurate it is tbh) about a teacher who tries to show his class how easy it is to create a facist movement.
Pretty good. I believe there is an American version that was made in the 70's but according to critics, the German version is better.
7.5/10

I saw Lawless. It's about a family of prohibition era moonshiners in Appalachia, based on a true story. I'm a sucker for period pieces, as well as movies with gangsters/criminals who don't give a fuck. So this one had a pretty good shot of me liking it. But, it just didn't cut it. I imagine it got green-lighted because of the success of Boardwalk Empire (which is the best show on TV, sorry Breaking Bad fans). Basically, some stories are worth making a movie out of, some aren't. This one isn't. They gave it the old college-try, but it was utterly forgettable. Thumbs down.

...definitely to be avoided: the cast includes Shia LaBoeuf, the only actor to be outdone by Mattel toys...
...majestically enthroned amid the vulgar herd...
If you like Will Ferrell, check out the Campaign.

4 more years!
In fact, his acting was fine. The other actors were good too...the characters believable. I just didn't find the story particularly compelling.
^Call it "The Dennis Hopper in Waterworld" award.
^
there could also be a lifetime achievement award. it could be named after David Carradine...
Batman the dark knight rises = 7/10 not bad except for Catwoman (BS)
Total Recall = 7/10 interesting
Judge Dredd = 7.5/10 I liked it
Stolen 4/10 = another crap movie with Nicolas Cage
Expendables 2 = 8/10 better than the first one and the Norris sighting was a treat
Seeking a Friend for the End of the World - Bit too long at times, but luckily no romantic Hollywood Ending! Keira Knightley was a bit wishy washy though.
Expendables 2 - New Chinese babe is yummy, good cast, basically a string of action sequences strung together - well. Coulda done with more Jet Li though. Van Damme was very good for a change.
When I was in America a guy told me to 'have a nice day' but I didn't, so I sued him
