Read a few actually mate.....learnt/learned what an Oxford comma is yesterday....really fucking good and funny to be honest.....quite poignant (sp?) on occasion as well.

Also got all of the episodes on VCD, although pretty much as always....the books are better.

I still think of Louis as Lewis.....old dog and all that!!!

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?

Mate it's based on a comic....and IMO (not seen the film but will check it out tonight hopefully) it will be a lot lot lot lot, (damn those fallen apostrophes) and a lot (that's an Oxford comma right there after the fourth lot) better than the filum....no diggety no doubt as it's by the GOD of COMICS Alan Moore and mate he knows the score...got Watchmen as well which is like THE BIBLE of comics!!!

Let me know and I'll burn 'em and send 'em!!!

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?

i've got the original "v for vendetta" here and Unwell's copy of "from hell"

alan moore and my man, neil gaiman, are two of the greatest writers of all time. incricate, intelligent storylines matched with deadly artwork and a good ol' dollop of philosphy and occultism thrown in to rock yer cranium.

^ And Frank Miller has to be up there with them...not made much of Gaimen's (any?) stuff into films...The Sandman would be interesting???

Don't really get any better....really good books with really good pictures (I ain't clever like you mate!).

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?

How big is the pdf file for V for Vendetta Ken?

I've never read it and would like to.

Agree with the opinions on Neil Gaiman and Alan Moore. Frank Miller has done some excellent work too. I would love to see the Sandman on the big screen, such a visual character.
Alan Moore is like the grandfather of modern comics. He re-invented The Batman into the Dark Knight and took Swamp Thing from a mindless mound of vegetable matter to the most powerful plant elemental on Earth.

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?

you so are a clever little minx kenny!!!

miller is class too but gaiman is in a different league. the sandman series is all tied together with a couple of delicate narrative plots which appear throughout the whole story. really amazing the way it develops. great characters too.

will call over to you with a little pressie soon ken!!!!! promise this time

Weren't that the Frankster mate?

I always thought he invented Swamp Thing....but may well be wrong (got the re-issues but never really read them).

Ever read the Hellblazer where it's JC's birthday and Swamp Thing helps him grow some weed? Class!!!
-----
Gaimen is wicked and some of the myths/stories he intwines with his own are amazing.....I like Miller's stuff 'cos it's a bit more 'easy' and 'comic' like if you get what I mean? Like my music I like it a bit 'dumb' (ain't that right BJ???)!!!

No worries Z mate, ready when you is mate!!! (Got a couple of documentaries on Entourage and the last few of series 3 for you as well).
