Not bad, great effects and CGI scenes but the plot wavers around a few times.

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?

Puzzlehead

this is a gem of a sci fi movie.
made on a limited budget and set in a future where there are hardly any people left an eccentric scientist creates an illegal droid clone of himself.
from his early tasks of household chores and playing music, the droid becomes more and more human eventually falling in love with the woman his creator covets.

It's a superb movie, was released in limited cinemas, superior sci fi stuff.

9.5 / 10

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?

watched the fountain last night. it's the new aronofsky flick.

Click the image to open in full size.

some amazing imagery in it but it's all a bit confused. the story itself is quite simple but it is quite difficult to follow exactly what's going on at times.

not as good as Pi or Requiem for a Dream by a long-shot but still worth watching.

6/10

I have tried at least 3 times to watch that movie and have been left confuddled within the first ten minutes and asleep before 30.
I honestly don't get it.

maybe I should try again, a little bit earlier in the day.

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?

Anyone seen The Last Mimzy? We rented it, and just got done watching.

Waaaaay friggin cool! Or at least I thought so.

Now I wish I'd went to see it when it was in the theatres.

It's PG but I think kids would enjoy it as well.

The last film I have seen? Los Llantos de los Pobres, a very low budget mid-70s Mexican film that is really only worth watching for the seventies era clothing. The Latina lovelies looked great in their halter tops and cut-off jeans.

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?

i saw the new Tarantino zombie flick "Death Proof".

thought it was a bit shite to be honest...tries too hard to be old-school and is too long. the other Tarantino flick with the sexy chicks and car chases was a lot better imo
