Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
Thr3e - rip off of many movies, but well made, enjoyable and not really predictable.
Shutter - Thai movie. Very good. I haven't seen many Thai movies, but in the last 5 years, there movie making ability has really risen IMO. This movie can stand proud amongst Japanes and Korean horror / thriller movies.

Gone baby Gone and Into The Wild. Good films, both.
Excellent cinematography in "Wild."
Stellar acting and plot in "Gone."

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
Remembered Well mentioning it awhile back and it was available on our Free HD Movies On Demand channel this month so I watched the original Wicker Man last night with Christopher Lee and Britt Eklund. A damn sight better than the Nicolas Cage version!
Beautiful scenery from Scotland and Britt Eklund. Pretty creepy ending as well.

I did ...on the recommendation of this thread. Thought it was overdone with the falklands war stuff at the end, too many 'symbolic' messages etc. It was just OK 5/10...oh and the skins were fucken woosses too. And whats with the jamaican skin - Were skins ever multicultural?

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
Saw 'No Country For Old Men' last night.
I was a bit disappointed. maybe my expectations were too high, as the Coens have mades some of my favourite movies of all time.
I found it rather juvenile.
Quite similar to 'Blood Simple' in its virtual absence of a plot. I enjoyed 'Blood Simple', but that was nearly 20 years ago.
I felt that they could have made this one in their sleep.

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
I'd have liked it more as a 100 baht pirate dvd or if it'd cost me 100 baht to get into the cinema, I guess.
As it was I shelled out 400 baht each for the two tickets - so prolly I was more demanding.
Let us know how you like it.

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
I watched "American Gangster" the other night.
Good acting, but both Crowe and Washington have performed better IMO.
I just can't help feeling that the whole movie could have been better...maybe if there was somebody else at the helm other than Ridley Scott.
7/10
