Have you seen the alternate end? Turns the whole film on it's head to an extent....more a film noire actually.

Nah it's based on the book 'I Am Legend' mate (by Richard Matheson...who has done a few classics)....twas made first as 'Last Man on Earth' with Vincent Price (supposedly the closest one to the book) and then Omega Man was made based on the same story and then I Am Legend mate....there's also another kind of rip off version called I Am Omega (see what they did there).

Inside Deep Throat (2005)
Inside Deep Throat!
Also on the same tip.....Porn Star: The Legend of Ron Jeremy (not seen it all yet though).
-----
Watched an okay Brit film the other day...The Cottage (same chap as did London to Brighton...different genre though...sort of )...not bad at all.
Outpost I enjoyed.
Cloverfield thought was really good, very well done.
Untraceable...s'okay thriller.
Confessions of a Superhero (if I've not mentioned it before)...superb.
P2 was a good thriller.
Running With Arnold...about the Terminator's past and run for Governor....intweeeeeeging.
Storm Warning....Aussie thriller/chiller...better than I expected (ain't they always the good ones? The ones you don't expect to be good).
Bunny Lake is Missing...fucking CLASSIC!!!
27 Dresses....alright.
St Trinians...you get what you expect (Rupert E ain't no A Sim!).
3.10 From Yuma....I enjoyed it.
Seraphim Falls....was good at the beginning but then went a bit 'spiritual' at the end (basically I didn't get it).
The Banshee....nice little film.
Right At Your Door.....VERY GOOD INDEED....thrillerish!!!
And quite a few others that are too shit to even mention!!!
Oh and got American Boy by Scorcese (sp?)....watched a bit....looks velly good indeed!!!

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
^ No classic (well maybe it will be one day)....but I really took to it mate personally (funnily enough my bird thought it was a bit shite....so you're err....erm.....err...in good company ). I thought the use of one camera but with good sfx was excellent.....I enjoyed the Mist as well actually.
You know I like to mix the caviar with the cheese mate!

I started stroking my chin before jotting down Citizen Cane, Psycho etc.
Satisfied, I then glanced over at Eddie's list. Eddie was/is a fucking funny lad from Chester who lived down the corridor from me in halls.
Terminator, The Burbs, Weekend At Bernies, Timecop....
I looked up from the list and met Eddie's grinning face and burst out laughing, and from then on in I lightened up considerably.

Yeah, you're right. I've actually read the book and seen the Omega Man version. I just got them confused. The Omega Man adaptation for me was miles better than the new attempt.

Haha....I liked all those movies. Classics - any list that includes Timecop will no doubt garner some smiles. Citizen Kane can go fck himself....it shouldn't be number one anyway.

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
Savages (2007)
Philip Seymour Hoffman, Laura Linney
Jon and Wendy Savage are two siblings who have spent their adult years trying to recover from the abuse of their abusive father, Lenny Savage. Suddenly, a call comes in that his girlfriend has died, he cannot care for himself with his dementia and her family is dumping him on his children. Despite the fact Jon and Wendy have not spoken to Lenny for twenty years and he is even more loathsome than ever, the Savage siblings feel obliged to take care of him. Now together, brother and sister must come to terms with the new and painful responsibilities with their father now affecting their lives even as they struggle with their own personal demons Lenny helped create
7/10. I suppose this could have been extremely depressing given the subject matter, but there's plenty of humor to brighten things up. The two 'kids' - Hoffman and Linney are great in their roles - Hoffman as the son who would much rather concentrate on his career than care for their father and Linney as the daughter on one big neurotic guilt trip. Worth the download but it certainly won't appeal to all.

Carlito's Way was often touted as Brian De Palma's follow-up to Scarface, but as much as I love that movie, Carlito's Way seems to have stood the test of time far better. Of course it was made ten years later anyway. Vintage Pacino. What more can you say?

One of De Palma's best and certainly the movie that changed my opinion of Sean Penn. Al had been in a bit of a drought for awhile leading up to this movie.

Just saw "Forbidden Kingdom".
Disappointed (thought I didn't really know anything other than
it was Jackie and Jet going in) | |
