The other day I went to see 'Departed', the best part of it was the 'Casino Royale' trailer before the flick!I can't wait to see this movie!
This new James Bond guy seems like a 'Shit Kicking' Brit, not some preety Boy (no offense to the previous Bonds). This guy seems to carry a very different persona from previous Bonds.
I know the flick aint out here in LOS yet, perhaps in the US?

A lot of people are horrified by the fact that the new bond is a bit rough around the edges. Personally I think it could be a refreshing change for a franchise that has started looking a bit stale of late.
Also, Flemings Bond was not really the smirking caricature that Roger Moore in particular turned him into. So hopefully this is a bit of a return to roots, particularly since the movie in question is 'Casino Royale', where it all started.
My other hope is that cgi has reached its zenith, and the movie will be less dominated by this than recent ones have been.
They promised no 'silly' villians or unrealistic gadgets this time round, just a gritty Bond.
Daniel Craig seems to fit that bill. He was good in "Munich"

i think it's going to have the feel of the mel gibson movie 'payback'....but without the
craig seems to be a good actor....i'm looking forward to it.
That really was a l-o-w point, wasn't it. Great example of what went wrong.
Trailer didn't look too wonderful. Have hated Mr. Craig since the awful 'Layer Cake'. Was good in "Sylvia' but then just so dreadful in the aforementioned I promised to steer clear of any further pieces of his work. By the way, James Bond is meant to be tacky and silly, that's the whole point. Disturb this winning formula and you have yet another America, tough-guy, macho action movie. A la XXX.

I think Judi Dench is still M in Casino Royale - she ain't bad though (much better than John Cleese as Q).
I agree on the invisible beemer - bloody stupid. CGI ruined the last Star Wars and Bond films - just looks like crappy cartoons.
I have a feeling this is going to be one of the great ones among the best of them.
