Z - 24 is possibly the most addictive show I've ever seen. A few years ago I bought the first 4 seasons and within 2 weeks had watched them all. It's not for everyone, but I remember when it came out it was groundbreaking television. However, I did get a bit bored with it in the 4th or 5th season. I mean, it really gets annoying when he's in a helicopter shooting terrorists and all of a sudden his g/f calls and they start to talk about their relationship and where it's going. Other than that, it's great.
I think 24 is worth it mate...the first few seasons are superb...and even the later ones are pretty good. Bear with it would be my advice.
Watched the first episode of the new series of Dexter....wickedness.
True Blood which pre-aired a while ago (the first episode) is up now.....looks good (the first episode was pretty good anyway).
I see Californication series 2 ep 1 is up as well.
^Yeah watched Dexter as well last night. It's a pre-air ep, though, so I think we'll have to wait a month before a new one comes out.
i watched a few of the early epsiodes from series 1 or 2 and just got the feeling that it was very "Prison Break"-ish......ie>>>every episode leads up to a cliffhanger or some impossibly stupid conclusion from which the main character has to escape (a bit like the old Batman!)
i got the new entourage last night but no chatter about what happened please....didn't get a chance to watch it

Yeah 24 is a bit like that...but I like the cliffhanger bits mate....and the time counting down makes it that much more bum puckerish!!!
Why do a lot of heroes have the JB name....Jack Baur (sp?)....James Bond and Jason Bourne???
Yeah, 24 is a serial. Every episode (or nearly every episode) ends in a cliffhanger. Prison Break is like that as well, which is what makes these shows so addictive. I gave up on Prison Break after the 2nd season - they were so close to resolving it all, then at the last minute they fucked it all up. I was so annoyed that I didn't even watch season 3.
^ I've watched a few of season 3 Prison Break....pretty good actually!!!
Prison Break wrecked my head.....up to the end of season 1 it was just about ok but after that it just got uber-stoopid
^ I found the second season excellent mate.....they way they changed the concept was superb....but then I have a massive fondness for cheese!!! I had a mate that didn't like that Carnivale....couldn't understand why, but people have different tastes I s'pose.
Do you do House at all?
^House annoys me but I still watch it. You know that they're always going to solve the mystery illness within the last 3-4 minutes, and yet I still watch, mainly for Hugh Laurie. The guy plays a bastard so well.
Carnivale I have but haven't gotten to the 2nd season yet. They're not making any more so I struggle to see the point of watching it.

^ Mate House isn't at all cheesey IMO....the complete reverse if anything, stomps all over the cheese!!! You watched many? It's not like your CSI, ER...or even Bones (which is good).....dark humour abounds!!!
^Please tell me you're not still watching ER. I finally gave up after about season 10 -- just got sick of all the petty drama. Plus, in the US they advertise it as such intense drama: "This week, on a powerful new ER....something happens that has never happened in the history of television....it's so incredible....blah blah blah blah blah."
