I've finally got around to watching the first series. Christ, where have I been? I've only seen the first episode so far, but there is a tonne of tension. It's got the potential to become something very special.
---Update---
I finished the series a couple of weeks ago. The episode where he's in Brazil is my personal favourite. "I've never seen a guy bend over so many times in my life!"Classic!

Great British true crime series if you like your true crime.
I'm seeding it on UK Nova if you want it.
FRED DINENAGE: MURDER CASEBOOK series 1
Fred Dinenage takes a fresh look at the murders that shocked Britain in the twentieth century and the killers that committed them...
Fred is the Krays official biographer and a journalist reporting serious crimes for over forty years. He knows that with certain crimes the myth can take over from the reality of what actually happened.
Fred meets with the people whose lives were affected by the crimes, experts in the case and journalists from the time. Leading criminologist Professor David Wilson features in each episode giving his valuable and fascinating insights in to each killer.
Using criminology, forensic science and other modern techniques, Fred dissects the crimes to understand the motive, method and impact they had then and still have even now.
S01E01: JOHN CHRISTE AND 10 RILLINGTON PLACE (1948)
The extraordinary tale of deceitful compulsive liar John Christie, who murdered six women and stored them in his home in Rillington Place between 1943-53.
Christie initially framed his neighbour, Timothy Evans, who was consequently hanged for the supposed murder of his wife and child, leading to a strong public outcry upon discovery and the eventual abolition of capital punishment.
S01E02: THE ACID BATHS MURDERER (1944)
The seemingly admirable and respectable middle class man, John Haigh, guilty of six grotesque murders in which each victim was drained of blood and later dissolved in acid.
Haigh’s calculated disposal of the bodies was an attempt to acquire their wealth in belief that this would prevent any risk of conviction.
Was he a blood thirsty Satanist or one of the most cunning and callous killers who would do anything for money to feed his greed for money.
S01E03: THE TEACUP POISONER (1971)
Graham Young is the reoffending serial killer fascinated with deadly poisons and toxic chemicals who began his fatal experiments at the mere age of fourteen after poisoning his entire family. Released from jail 15 years later he up-scaled his study, this time lacing cups of tea with deadly poison to an entire factory of workers.
S01E04: Black Panther
Fred Dinenage investigates the crimes of meticulous masked killer Donald Neilson, whose brutal slaying of 17-year-old heiress Lesley Whittle in 1975 was one murder too many.
S01E05: Brides in the Bath
Fred Dinenage examines the frightful crimes of Brides in the Bath Murderer and Bigamist George Joseph Smith, who drowned his three wives between 1912 and 1914.
S01E06: The Welsh Child Killer
Just 15, Harold Jones was too young to hang for murder in 1921. Could he have become notorious 60s serial killer Jack The Stripper? Fred Dinenage investigates.
S01E07: Derek Bentley
It was actually his accomplice who had shot the PC during a burglary in Wandsworth in 1952 but Derek Bentley hanged for murder. His execution would help to change the law.
S01E08: Ruth Ellis
Fred Dinenage reflects on Ruth Ellis' crime of passion. In 1955, she hanged for the murder of her estranged lover. But what would her punishment have been today?
The worst job in Thailand must be the man who has to sit down with a blue marker pen and mark a number two on the two-baht coins to stop people thinking they are one-baht coins.
Thanks for the heads up I am now downloading your upload Phil.
'Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by mainstream media,
which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of shit by the clean end.'
Never thought I would thank Camilla Parker Bowles, but she is a fan of a certain TV ahow and it made the news. I checked out the ratings. Very good. Two versions available..the Danish original and the US remake. Reviewers seem to say the original is much better. D'L it and...it's very good.
Think Twin Peaks (teenage girl gets raped and killed) without the surreal bollocks. Good old fashioned 'whodunnit' and well acted and well made.
Oh, it's called 'Forbrydelsen' (The Killing).
Half way through season 1 and it is brilliant.
9/10

Revenge
A bit too glamorous at times and everyone in it is perfectly formed. The show is set amongst the wealthy so suppose it can't be avoided. Apart from that the excellent reviews it's been receiving are justified. Plot: A girl's dad is framed for a horrific crime. She returns years later to take revenge on the community involved. Only seen the first three episodes and although I'm not convinced yet...it's pretty addictive.
8.5/10 so far...
Looking for a BBC documentary that I saw a few months to a year ago. I believe it was multiple parts about how plants terraformed Earth into what it is today...
anyone know what i'm talking about?
"Having sex is like playing bridge. If you don't have a good partner, you'd better have a good hand."

How to grow a planet? - google says it available from the usual torrent spots.
It was good show.
For those who are interested, xtremetv.org is currently open for membership and it has a good range of movies and music. The site carries a good selection of classic movies and T.V plus a lot of Hall mark films too
For those of my vintage from the U.K one of the site members has just uploaded a classic B.B.C. series I remember from my youth in the 1957-1960 years called, ''The Army Game.'' Indeed a veritable treasure to me if no-one else.
Just finished watching the episodes.
Very, very funny. This made me pmsl. Go to about 1:40 to see Jerry's advice on women for Brian.
Been watching Homeland. Four episodes in and it's great stuff. I think it has 86% on IMDB and that's about right, maybe a bit low. Has a good plot, war hero returns from Iraq after 8 years being held captive. He's treated as an all american hero, but a talented, but secretly psychotic CIA agent feels he could be a terrorsist.
Very good. 9/10
