Watched The Fixer on the box last night ..... it's OK I think.
Excuse me for not taking this seriously .....
^ My mate watched ep one and said it was a bit confusing....saying that Mean Machine is his fave film![]()
Riddle me this brother can you handle it

Well I have to admit I found it a little confoozling also - but I missed ep 1 and went straight in at ep 2. My brother had seen ep 1 and loved it.Originally Posted by kenkannif

Tried out the first couple of episodes of John Adams from HBO. Not as blanantly jingoistic and one-sided as The Patriot, but still far too Rah-Rah-America for my tastes.
I watched both eps of The Fixer. Pretty decent show.
Two Canadian shows that are fairly good: Intelligence and The Border.
Intelligence is the better of the two, set in Vancouver BC.
The Border is set in Halifax Nova Scotia.

CBC just cancelled Intelligence. Too bad. Its ratings were improving and, due to the writer's strike in the U.S., it was catching on there as well. Dunno why they decided to cancel it yet keep making lower-rated, crappier shows like Little Mosque on the Prairie.
CBC's blaming the cancellations of Intelligence and two other shows on the poor regular season performance of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Bizarre.
Leafs to blame for cancelled shows? Quips producer: 'One more reason to hate'
I'm gutted Scot Biao/Baio is 46 and Preggers finished yesterday (it's really quite good)....but a Brit Bachelor series (well a Brit bloke in it) more than makes up for it![]()
Damn! I thought it was a well-written show. Not in the caliber of The Wire or anything, but better than a lot of the crap out there. Sigh. Always the good ones get cancelled.Originally Posted by mugwump
If you've never watched The Wire you really should just be downloading that. It's the greatest television show ever made. The greatest television show ever made.
