The End of the World Version 3.5: Which Movie?

It's official. As I earlier pronosticated, the world is ending. We're in a bear stock market, the US housing maket is dust, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are collapsing, oil is almost $140, food prices are soaring and Iran is testing missiles.

Five years tops. More likely two.

(damn i'm I glad i came here when i did)

My question, after, which movie world will we live in:

    1. Blade Runner
    2. Soylent Green
    3. Planet of the Apes
    4. Lost in New York
    5. The Day After

    or did i miss one?

I would guess Blade Runner, but I think The Road Warrior would be more accurate. Five years, hell, make it four and we`ll have the Mayan prophecy.

Good call on the Gibson flick.
    Once is great.

We're all in the Matrix. We'll come out back to the real world just as soon as we've all blown each other up. Then there'll be 72 virgins waiting for each of us.

I doubt it'll affect me that much. Therefore it'll probably be Holiday on the Buses. As now...

A Crude Awakening: The Oil Crash & The Oil Factor are 2 that you might want to add to your list. End of Suburbia is good as well.

I'll go with Planet of the Apes form your list.

Thanks, that's my personal favorite of Stephen King's books.

I wish someone would make a theatrical movie out of The Stand...the TV movie was good/ok.

I hope it's either Red Dawn, Night of the Living Dead or Anal Cuties in Chinatown 3: Analpocalypse but I suspect it'll be more like a mix of Silent Running, 1984, Robocop, A Scanner Darkly, THX1138, and The Postman.
