One of my all-time favorite Eastwood quotes comes from the movie Outlaw Josey Wales.
Bounty hunter: You're wanted, Wales.
Josey Wales: Reckon I'm right popular. You a bounty hunter?
Bounty hunter: A man's got to do something for a living these days.
Josey Wales: Dyin' ain't much of a living, boy.
If this is a Eastwood trivia thread, I'll start it off with a few easy ones.
What TV western series was Clint in and what was his name on the show?
In which movie did Clint say, "A man's got to know his limitations." ?
What was his name in High Plains Drifter and what was the name of the town he rode into?
Rawhide and Rowdy Yates.
Not Dirty Harry, the second one, Magnum Force .
He had no name.
Hell, he renamed it.
Pale Rider was great and I loved Josey Wales; great character and a good lesson in not following the herd.

Frederick Douglass: Find out just what any people will quietly submit to
and you have found out the exact measure of injustice
and wrong which will be imposed upon them, and these
will continue till they are resisted with either
words or blows, or with both.
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn;
“Don’t believe them, don’t fear them, don’t ask
anything of them.”
sry, semi off topic, but Changling was one of the best movies I have seen in a while.
"Having sex is like playing bridge. If you don't have a good partner, you'd better have a good hand."
- Woody Allen
'Right turn Clyde.'
Ridicule is the burden of genius.
A fistful of dollars.
Scene: "Get 3 coffins ready".
A bloody classic

In 'True Crime', what thing or event made Clint Eastwood realize that the prisoner about to die was actually innocent?

Don't know why the sound isn't working there for you kiwi. Works ok for me. Anyone else out there having the same problem as kiwi?
I got it in the end..."My mistake...4 coffins"![]()
Heartbreak Ridge.
He made so many one liners in that film, it's hard to remember them all.
There were many memorable scenes involving the different coloured t shirts.
Kiwi was it the old ladys locket ??
I would not work in this country if you paid me.
...that was a real crap movie...out to get all those communists...one of my least favourite except for the punch up in the cells
A green to you sir
At the beginning of Dirty Harry the camera zooms past a movie theatre...what is the movie that is showing?...a hint... in the movie a woman comes to his house wearing a fur coat...and nothing else![]()

In which movie was Clint mistaken for a horse thief and left to die, only to track down the guys who tried to kill him?
In which movie did Clint play a disc jockey?
This is pretty funny. Clint putting Spike Lee in his place.
In 2006, Eastwood directed two films about the battle of Iwo Jima in World War II. The first one, Flags of Our Fathers, focused on the men who raised the American flag on top of Mount Suribachi. The second one, Letters from Iwo Jima, dealt with the tactics of the Japanese soldiers on the island and the letters they wrote to family members. Both films were highly praised by critics and garnered several Oscar nominations, including Best Director and Best Picture for Letters from Iwo Jima. Director Spike Lee accused Eastwood of not including a single black person in the films. Eastwood responded that Lee was inaccurate, and that Lee "should shut his face.
