Thread: Angels and Demons

I went into this movie already hating it. The DaVinci Code was the biggest waste of time for me. I kept thinking "who gives a shit if Jesus was married or whatever". I just didn't care.

In comes Angels and Demons. This movie stands completely on its own. It uses religion as a backdrop for a typical "the bad guy put a bomb somehwere and we have to find it before it explodes" plot. Like we've never seen that before. However, because religion and the Vatican are being used as the backdrop it makes it interesting to watch. There is never a dull or boring moment. It moves at a nice steady pace. They don't waste time talking about Jesus and bullshit, they just want to find the bomb.

Also, to be honest, I didn't see the ending coming.

So, in the end a nice entertaining who done it, suspense thriller. Perfect as a rental.

Not seen the filum, the book was good tho IMO
