Thread: The Star Wars Prequels 10 Years On!

So it's 10 years since the Phantom Menace hit the big screen, what were your thoughts on the three prequels. IMO



I enjoyed the first film the most, but they really overdid it with the special effects, Darth Maul was the best character so it was a bit annoying they killed him off. 4 stars



I remember coming out of this film and thinking it was shit, I haven't watched it again and probably never will. 1 Star.



Episode 3 wasn't bad, everyone was raving about how dark it was, it's a shame it took George Lucas 2 films to work out how to make a good one, he only had 20+ years to come up with the story. It was an ok film, the ending was pretty funny though when Darth Vader says 'nooooooooooooooooo!' 3 Stars

At the end of the day they were not a patch on the original films and quite pointless really, you knew the back story from the other movies, Lucas would have been better off making it a TV series and a series of films as sequels to continue the story, the actors where still agile enough 10 years ago and everyone apart from Harrison Ford would have been available at bargain basement prices, they made a cartoon movie too, but I haven't seen that and don't think I will. anyway what was your take on Eps 1,2 and 3.

and the new one by JJ Abrams are all class. The other 3 are crap in comparison.
