Up-coming movies you want to see..

    The Mechanic.

I saw the original years ago as a kid, it made an impression. The update might be ok. Never heard of Ben Foster though.

    ---Update---

    Sucker Punch.

I expect it to be mindless pap. But enjoyable nonetheless...

Jez Markle, The Mechanic is hardly upcoming. It's already gone to DVD. That other one I've never heard of.

Well you're going to have to allow for not everyone living in the US.

So any movies you're looking forward to?

Dude, your thread looked lonely, sinking fast without a reply. Maybe you see the face of your enemy on all of us.

Bad Teacher - Cameron Diaz plays a fouled-mouthed junior high school teacher. The preview on another thread was really funny. Justin Timberlake is in it, but I'll just keep my eyes focused on Cameron while I'm watching! It starts in the US June 24th.

The Hangover Part 2 - The first movie was great and hopefully Part 2 will be as funny. 'The Wolf Pack' goes to Bangkok for Stu's wedding. I'm big fan of Zach Galifinakis. This one opens in the US May 26th. Look on this webpage if you want to see a couple of previews:
The Hangover Part II (2011) - IMDb

A Dangerous Method - David Cronenberg's next movie starring Viggo Mortensen. I really liked both A History of Violence & Eastern Promises, so another collaboration between these guys looks pretty promising. It's set to come out in 2011.

Amigo - John Sayles' next movie which is a fictional account of events during the Philippine-American War. Chris Cooper's in it and he was also in Sayles' Lone Star which is a great movie. It comes out in August, 2011.

    J. Edgar - Clint Eastwood's next movie that stars Leonardo DiCaprio. Clint's movies are almost always good, but somewhat depressing. Gran Torino was such a great movie for him to end his acting career. But good thing he's goona keep directing and putting out movies. This doesn't come out until 2012, but hopefully it'll be showing before the world comes to an end...in 2012!

Yup...the one and only 'Gay' Edgar Hoover! Here's the storyline synopsis from IMDB: "Biopic on FBI director J. Edgar Hoover, focusing on his scandalous career and controversial private life as a homosexual and rumored cross dresser." DiCaprio plays J. Edgar.
I'd say this sounds like more of biography/drama than political stuff. But whatever you want to call it, Clint will more than likely make another great movie. He's both acted in and/or directed a wide range of movies...Spaghetti Westerns, Dirty Harry, War movies, Comedy (anyone remember those 'Any Which Way' movies with the monkey?), Drama, etc. He's made and been in a couple of crappy movies, but overall, Clint's sure had a great career. He's also quite an accomplished piano player. He directed 'Piano Blues' which is part of a PBS series about the blues that was produced by Martin Scorsese. Worth checking out the series if you like blues music.

'Any Which Way You Can' (get some money by making a shitty movie!)
Definitely not the highlight of Clint Eastwood's career!
