    I really wanted to like that. Unfortunately I couldn't get into it. Band of Brothers did a much better job over all. I think the producers of The Pacific were a little ambitious with the multiple story line format. It does have fantastic combat scenes though.

    I don't know if it's any good but my mate is raving about a series called Hell on wheels.



    I will download the first couple of episodes and review later.

    it had some nice looking ads so I bought a bootleg of the first season. Haven't watched it yet though. I usually wait and sift through the buzz around a show before I'll commit to actually putting some time on it.

    I have watched the first four episodes....It's slow to start but I can see this being good.

    Colm Meaney plays a good part and there's a character called The Swede who has massive potential.

    He was the guy from the Damned United right? I don't follow "soccer" at all but I worked with a guy from Leeds for a year so I know the sad history of their once proud club.

    I've got to jump in with another endorsement of Game of Thrones...watched season 1 last couple days and half way through season 2 now...I'm actually trying not to watch too many episodes a day so as to prolong the experience...it's that good...

    I mean c'mon...old world political intrigue, sex, blood and gore, sex, dragons, sex...and production value to rival 75% of hollywoods best for the last couple of years...go HBO!!!

    News is it's been picked up for season 3 as well...
