Not watched much telly over the last few years and I'm lucky enough to be watching some top stuff. However, I get the feeling

Our Friends in the North is a British television drama serial, produced by the BBC and originally broadcast in nine episodes on BBC Two in early 1996. No goblins in season one It's a drama set in medieval times. There's lots of scheming, lying and cheating along with good old fashioned acting.

Give season one episode one a go. If you're not hooked after one episode, it's not for you. I expected it to be crap and ended up loving it.
