The worst job in Thailand must be the man who has to sit down with a blue marker pen and mark a number two on the two-baht coins to stop people thinking they are one-baht coins.
while i had low hopes for this thread (expecting a lot of negativity and gasbaggery, and not disappointed) people justifying the movies that they like has redeemed it.
nonetheless i cry myself to sleep knowing that this thread keeps chugging on while pretty much any thread about movies people would actually want to watch dies a quick, painful death.

The problem with people expressing their opinions on movies is most people actually think they know something about movies. This thread is further proof that many people don't.
You don't like "The Godfather", "Citizen Kane", or "Gone With The Wind"? Sure you're entitled to your opinion, but your opinion is obviously not well informed. For those who haven't seen them, recognize your limits and go talk about cars or hunting or something you know about.

I believe the reason cinema buffs continue to rate "Citizen Kane" so highly is that Wells used a whole host of techniques that had never been seen before.
