As if being one of the most beloved comedians working today wasn't enough, Louis C.K. finds time to write, direct and star in his FX sitcom "Louie" in a way that keeps him winning awards he doesn't want -- but that doesn't mean he doesn't want any credit.
YouTube's new comedy channel Official Comedy has an exclusive sneak peek at the director's commentary on the "Louie" season 2 DVD/Blu Ray coming out next week wherein Louis takes credit for the shows critically acclaimed writing. He clears up any misconception that the show is improvised as he breaks down a scene with one of the child actresses playing his daughters on the show.
Louis also talks about how the things he tells his real-life daughters often bleeds into the scripts he writes for his TV daughters, and praises the young actresses for following his script to perfection. There really is an art to interrupting him!
Watch the sneak preview above. "Louie" season 2 comes out on DVD/Blu Ray (with full director's commentary) on June 19.

Huge fan. I've watched all his stand-up and can't wait for the 3rd season of Louie. Have you seen his Beacon Theatre performance? Love the pot bit - haha

Yes, Hilarious was my favorite as well. I think that may be his best performance.
I, too, am rather fond of Mr. CK.
After watching the episode where a girl refuses to sleep with him after some teen threatens him in a diner, my wife said, "Poor Louis should go to Thailand!"
I saw him live about a year ago in New Hampshire. He's had a long career in comedy, glad to see all his success. He had a show on HBO a few years back called Lucky Louie that only lasted one season. Different than Louie, but still very funny.

I like this clip, pretty sure it's entirely improvised.
Any fan of "Louie" should most definitely watch "Lucky Louie," which was aired for only one season on HBO back in 2006. It was a great show with a lot of dirty language and subject matter. It's a shame that the show was canceled so quickly. I consider it one of my favorites.
I saw about 5-10 mins of it channel surfing the other day. It was the scene where his gay friend is taking about the actual meaning of 'faggot'. Possibly one of the most compelling and sincere pieces of TV I've seen for a long time...will try to catch it more.

I do recommend it--it's a very honest show.
I've only seen his stand-up (on YouTube) and I think he's bloody great.

The most important human endeavor is the striving for morality in our actions. Our inner balance, and even our very existence depends on it. Only morality in our actions can give beauty and dignity to our lives.
