It's the Wachowski sibs (no longer brothers), so think Matrix, V, and read the book: 3 hours long, and with so many twisting plot-lines and shifting characters it's bound to help. I'm sure Kinokuniya will be stocking up.

Actually, read any of Mitchell's books with the exception of The Thousand Autumns of Some Dutch Guy.

I think it looks great... I like the Wachowskis... Bound is a great little film, The Matrix was awesome and even though they lost their way with the sequels and Speed Racer I feel like they really tried. This looks to have great vision and it is nice to see some film-makers taking risks and trying something new rather than staying on safe ground.
    This is it... The apocalypse.

Great point--there are so many fucking sequels and superhero comic book remakes...this is a real original, interesting story with great potential, if the execution is there. I am cautiously optimistic, but I think watching it will be a worthwhile experience no matter what. It's art as opposed to more shlock.

havent' read the book. trailer looks corny... and worse, new-agey. but full of eye candy of all sorts. and Tom Tykwer's directing, so there's one in the plus column. i'll probably see it.
    Imodium can't stop me.

Tom Tykwer and the Wachowskis are directing... I believe they have split the stories.

    May be related to

The only thing I don't like about the look of it is some of the make-up is a bit much. The hippy record seller looked exactly like a hippy record seller in an epic American made movie. There were other examples. No matter what the situation, when it comes to make up, tone it down a bit.

oh awesome. a threaded story. i hoped we were over the 'several stories about one story' approach after i projectile-vomited watching Crash.
