    It's OK so far, 7/10

I'm thinking they switched off the power because of an imminent alien attack.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revolution_(TV_series) Had to google it.

Diesel engines would work. Why are they using steam? Ignorant writers?

If you like this insipid, far fetched garbage I have great news for you... you can still download The Bionic Woman and Battlestar Galactica if you are quick!

Ahhh, Revolution... the 70s brought back to life!

looks like the typical network scifi crap you get every year (V comes to mind). everybody is a model, flat character, and the writing is so insipid it makes your skin crawl.

I love SciFi but it's a rare thing to find any I can watch without laughing out loud or cringing at the ineptitude of it..

The last decent thing I watched was back in 2010 and was made by New Zealand TV.

It was called "This is not my life!"

My review of it is HERE! More information is HERE!

Actually, the 2004(?) reboot of Battlestar Galactica was fantastic. It was high quality on all levels. One of the best TV shows I've seen. If you decide to watch it having never seen it before I envy you, you're in for a great ride.

Suffice to say, it's nothing like the cheesy 70s original. Be sure to research it a bit before starting. You need to watch the miniseries first (2 pilot episodes of the cylon attack) then follow the 4 seasons, 2 movies and 2 sets of webisodes in order. It's way more than a space opera, it's pychological, epic, humane, realistic, funny, exciting, relatable, intelligent, adult... the list goes on.

    Here's the wonderful opening scene:

I've watched the first 4 episodes now. The acting IS shit. The writers DO treat the viewers like morons ... blatantly making obvious things/precepts REALLY obvious ... BUT ... there is a story there. Episode 5 should be on torrent sites by next Wednesday (Airs Monday) ... so I'll keep following ... just to find out what happens. It beats Thai PBS station anyway. (No cable TV at the keekwai household)

Yes, the acting is subpar and the audience is treated like idiots (what do you expect from a network show?), but the premise is appealing enough and the story is intriguing so far, so I'm keeping up with it.

I read some funny questions on IMDB ... Like ...

Why are the lights on the planes spiraling down to the ground still blinking?

Yeah, yeah ... I know. It's just a TV show.

Whatever caused power to stop working is less effective the further away you go from the Earth? That's not too difficult to explain.
