    Disney bought Marvel too, right?

I think it's terrible. I smell crossovers. Darth Vader vs. Fantastic 4 kind of stuff.

    Marvel Star Wars crossover?

Already happened in the comics books.

Hell, I'm currently reading a Star Trek Doctor Who crossover mini series.

Hopefully without that doofus Lucas fucking it up the films will improve.

It was only a matter of time. Star Wars is here to stay... at least until they have sucked every last dime they can out of it.
    This is it... The apocalypse.

The movie industry is really unimaginative nowadays. I read online a good post that probably explains why. It seems pretty convincing to me. You could send Universal/MGM/Warner Bros/ 20th Centrury Fox studios the greatest movie script of all time. They wouldn't read it. They would rather make 'Meet the Little Focker's pets'.

Movies it seems, are just from an ideas man/Producer at the studio who then contacts a writer to write a good script of his basic idea. Then in comes a director etc.

It seems the writers do not come up with the idea at all! How shit is that?

I actually cried when Star Wars 4 (episode 1) started. I was in Korea. I'd belatedly seen Star Wars at Mann's Chinese in Hollywood. I waited in line for hours to see the second showing (at 3:00 a.m.) of Episode 5 at The Egyptian, also in Hollywood. Episode 6 I saw in Kuala Lumpur. Then that decades long wait and the first three had begun. Now, within my lifetime, the final three will be produced.

There is no reason to complain. The triple trilogy will be completed, within my lifetime, no less.

Now if only someone can tie The Republic to The United Federation of Planets . . .

One thing in life I've never ever done: Seen a Star Wars film, ever...reason why? Overhype keeps me away from certain things, as in Harry Potter.

Am I missing anything? Couldn't care less. I don't run with the pack.

I vote for Joss Whedon to direct the new film.

    Han: "Punch it Chewie!"
    Chewbacca: "Rraaawwooorrrarrriidrrrrrooowww!"
