I don't know if this has already been posted, but if not -- there is an expat fair at the Bumrungrad Hospital today. It's going on all day. I don't know what all is going to be there, but probably companies hawking their overpriced wares and services to the expat community. Whatever -- it might be a good place for people to meet fellow expats if you're new here.
What....they've actually started selling us??? Jesus!!!
Riddle me this brother can you handle it
Your style to my style you can't hold a candle to it
Equinox symmetry and the balance is right
Smokin' and drinkin' on a Tuesday night
It's not how you play the game it's how you win it
I cheat and steal and sin and I'm a cynic
Well, it's not a big step from killing us.
Something very, very dirty happened at the big B.
Have you heard about this?

She's right. this one should go into the "they kill people!" room.
Or the "they kill people but they're also Bangkok Bank and extremely
well connected in the States where they got "certified"...." room.
^ I can't use that link??? What's it aboot Maff???
I don't know why you can't view it.
There is this....
"RESIDENTS OF THAILAND ARE PROBHIBITED TO VIEW THIS SITE
The information contained in this site describes the death of a human being at a hospital which has been accredited by the Joint Commission on Hospital Accreditation, a US based not for Profit Corporation. This site is not intended for use in or to be seen by any organizations or individuals in the country of Thailand. Therefore, registration for the use of the site is required in order to stand clear of any laws of that country which might construe even the publication of truthful information as defamatory. This site is intended to inform persons, world wide, on the potential hazards associated with "Medical Tourism" or treatment, elective or otherwise, at the Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand.
However, the cautions and issues discussed in this graphic case study are meant to heighten the awareness of the citizens of the world regarding the dangers of "Medical Tourism", elective procedures or otherwise, in hospitals world wide which have been accredited by the Joint Commission on Hospital Accreditation or foreign medical institutions, in general. This site is intended for use of people over the age of 21."
But it doesn't stop me from accessing it. Actually I heard they just put that on there as a cautionary thing. To see the actual site you also need to register. Just being careful, prolly, as they are up against some big big powers that be.
I'm not posting this because I'm part of that crusade. I was forwarded this thing from a good friend, a farang doctor in BKK who's been here a long time and kind of knows some stuff about some 'behind the scenes' stuff and "weird" stuff that happens in the medical realm around here...of course he's also gone on about a lot of other conspiracies...one to many, maybe...but it's an interesting thing about this US kid who went in for a simple problem and came out dead, and all the records and everything was all wrong...and it looks like someone poisoned him and it's a big cover up...
Anyway, it's just a linky link. I'm not gonna mention it again. I value my life!
^ I've got a 'mate' (okay I pay him to like me) that works there will see if he has any gossip in regards to this.
Thanks Matt (it's probably my PC I think The 'Pool are playing at home today).

I don't wanna repeat what I think I know about the case now because I might have it wrong or not remember important bits. A lot of details were on that site- the kids father has been digging it all up- and then there is what my doctor friend told me...
A lot of it does raise eyebrows...
I'm sure it's a decent hospital though.
Hell, this kind of thing has happened in Boston.
from a google search:
# Josh was given 20 drugs on the day of his death. 6 were contra-indicated (never to be mixed).
# The care that Josh received contains at least 24 violations of standards of care.
# The time of death claimed by the hospital at 6:35 AM on the morning of 24 Feb 2006 is false. All records in the chart pertaining to any resuscitation attempt have been falsified.
# The actual time of death was the evening of 23 Feb 2006 at approximately 8-9 PM Thai time. Autopsy results confirm this conclusion.
# Bumrungrad Hospital has, nearly categorically, refused to answer any questions regarding Joshua’s care and the cause of his death. Bumrungrad has turned the matter over to their insurance company that have also remained silent and have not answered one question or offered any explanation, apology or compensation.
# The Joint Commission on The Accreditation of Hospital Organizations (JCAHO) has been equally unresponsive and has failed to provide ANY information regarding it’s supposed investigation of the death….saying that such things are not of concern to them.
# Threatening letters have been received by the father, Jim Goldberg that indicate that his computers and those with whom he has corresponded have been hacked into. These threats are being investigated and emails are being traced.
# The EKG strips supposedly taken at the time of Josh’s revival procedure are falsified.
^There you go.....
But it, the fair, will probably be like LG said – a bunch of over paid neo-colonialists looking to get ripped off.
Bark like a Donkey!
