Beer Drinking in LOS: Can it cause Gout?

I had some lovely vanilla vodka last night and I feel fine today (my urine is orange though).

I had a friend whose urine turned orange...shortly before he died

Glad to hear you are cutting back traveler2. I am 38 now so I think I may stop drinking altogether and become a kindly old grandad figure. I will pat people on the arm and give out pearls of wisdom...whilst urinating myself at the same time. I'm looking forward to it, it sounds quite relaxing.

My Dad suffers with gout all the time and he is an excessive drinker of Thai beer so that could be the cause.

But certain foods such as tomatoes and oranges give him a flare up so maybe it's your diet. Might be a good idea to look online and find out what foods/spices/flavorings/fruit/vegetables cause a gout flare up because it may be a Thai food dish you have eaten.
