Uh...yeah...how many Thai people really need to cope outside of their borders? They don't have to, hence their inability to speak anything other than Thai. They don't need to speak English.
The rest of the article is dead-on though--. Happy to leave the absurd, non-sensical aspects of Thailand behind...although I've found myself on the opposite side of the same coin here.
