Thread: What do you make of this guy?

This is posted on a classified add for Chiangmai. Don't know what to make of this as he seems like he isn't a twat and is being honest and yet by his own admission everybody says getting a gf is easy and yet here he is; in some final act of desperation.

I never thought I would have to advertise for a girlfriend in Chiang Mai. Every day I see at least 5 beautiful girls. But how can you meet them? OK, here is the deal. 10,000 Baht for anyone who can find me (a pretty good looking, tall, intelligent, fairly wealthy, falang, living in Chiang Mai) a beautiful girlfriend. I am so fed up with going to Bubble, Discovery, Warm Up, Monkey Club, etc etc, and finding no-one. I can't believe this nonsense. Everyone keeps telling me that Thai girls want to have boyfriends or get married to stable men. But they don't!!

If it was posted in Thai restaurants and salons and the fee was 2,000 baht it could well be Reg the Wedge

A hospital nurse tried to pick me up (ok, maybe not long-term - she asked if I had a big schlong).

Several co-worker teachers, at different locations, have tried to make 'a little more than' small talk.

And then there are the waitresses, coffee baristas, hotel workers, etc.

I haven't had any trouble stumbling over potential shags. Problem is .. I'm already attached.

You gotta be butt ugly or really unpleasant not to find a great partner here. Sure, you may have to sort through the rubbish. But there are a lot of gems.

sounds a little lost on common sense. if he can't pick-up in those places then that's not his scene and should change strategies. anyway, can't expect much from clubs (although possible). ugh, sound like dear abbey

And who the hell is stupid enough to go to clubs looking for a long-term partner? Those places are like 7-11. You can get a snack. But you can't live off of it.
