Fun for a while but then it made me into a lazy vegetable incapable of getting off my arse. That dopey feeling can often hide deeper issues. At least with beer you can go fruity once in a while. Not for me anymore but no problems if its other peoples cup of tea.

i use to blow weed quite a bit when i was young. i think several of my friends back home still do. i have nothing against it. i do find people that are comotose really annoying to hangout with so i usually avoid my buddies when they are on a session. makes me very paranoid, and i dont like to lose touch with whats happening around me.

Gave it up years ago. Did I smoke? Put it this way, I was in Art college for 5 years.

Now I think it's shite really. Grand in moderation like anything. It might be cute and hip when you're 20 but as you trundle towards middle-age, it can be a bit sad.

I've been overdoing it a bit the last couple of weeks, time to stop again for a while.
I don't drink that much though when I'm in my smoking phase.

In a way it makes me lazy and sleep like a baby.

I couldn't get fuck-all done with it at one stage. Up in the morning, smoke, try to go out and do shopping or chores or something like that, and I'd be all over the place.

Definitely quietened the demons at times though. Enhanced music and was a great laugh on occasion.

Weed's a bit like Thailand actually, brilliant if you've got nothing to do, but a nightmare if you're trying to accomplish something.

Well, to quote a well known Canadian politician "I tried it once but never exhaled".

Seriously though...I fall into the paranoid category.(not from a legal perspective. It just makes my painfully introspective. Could never smoke pot without a half case of suds on standby to bring me down) Always been that way.

Otherwise I'd likely be a dyed in the wool addict by this time.

i used to do a lot. my problem however is a tendency to gorge myself on all things i find pleasurable. and to use substances as psychogical crutches, becoming to reliant. i haven't smoked for a while and i feel more motivated, less nervous, stronger and generally...more solid, less flaky.

each to their own though, of course. i believe everyone has the right to use or abuse anything they want to.

I liked it when my friend would bring hash back from italy, nice and mellow. my friends were smoking some very strong pot, way too strong for me, i mean it was like flourescent green. when in new england it was coming from vermont, and when in california coming from nor cal. people get obsessed with it, not only the effects but the ritual and devices used. there is better shit to wast your time on i think.
