She's one of the most beautiful girls I know.
Her dad and mom are in/work for the Thai Air Force. She told me yesterday, as I gazed into her eyes and the sun glistened off her braces, that her dad "makes bomb."
She called me Friday night on her mom's phone with an English question. Was it a ruse?
There's the little matter of a 25-year or so age difference.
What are my chances?
Strong to very strong?

Thats hard to say, Her parents sounds very strict and there's a 25 years gap in age.
Do you want me to be honest you?
do you really need to ask us that question?
in other words i think you already know the answer to that...
I think the ajarn forum is hardly the place to discuss relationships these days. soon you'll have the people coming in asking if she's educated, what her background is, etc... i would keep all relationship info private as to not have your feelings hurt by some posters here. just my opinion. good luck to you. my father and step mother are 20 years apart, and have been married for 20.
I've got to pick myself up Dust myself off And start all over again.

How did you meet her?
I doubt it. You're a much older man who happens to speak English - perfect to tease with all of her English questions I would have thought. I very much doubt if it's leading to her popping around with a bottle of wine and a soppy movie any time soon. Students call me occasionally with silly questions, more often than not it's the girls - I doubt very much it's 'cos they all want to fcuk me!Originally Posted by been there done that

Excuse me for not taking this seriously .....

How old is she exactly? Is she a student of yours?
These and other burning questions need to be resolved methinks ....
Why not ask her?
Riddle me this brother can you handle it

Maybe you misheard her. She didn't say that her dad makes bombs, rather he makes a bomb ie. Lots of money. Is it possible?![]()
What are my chances?
Well, north of the 49th. we like to say "snowballs chance in hell". That might be pretty close.
Nevertheless, irregardless and irrespective, good luck on you.![]()

Not trying to be funny, but what are you prepared to spend? The Thais have a saying.."No Money..No Honey." Delivered without a hint of irony.
I lost a very attractive proposition 'cos I was new and didn't realise I had to play by different rules here. Everything (almost, anyway) is for sale, so they say. You could quite easily be one of her 'giks' if she's that type of girl and you don't mind playing along. It does lead to sick buffalo syndrome of course, but if they're in the Air Force the chances are that their buffalo are quite healthy and well looked-after...
(No, even I don't know if I'm joking or not...)![]()
Take me down to the paranormal city where the girls are green and they have three titties...
Oh, won't you please take me home?
I'll let you off this time, but I'm gonna hand out red everytime I see that non word from now on.Nevertheless, irregardless and irrespective,
Just 'cause it irritates the hell out of me.

And the reputation of teachers in Thailand slips further down the gutter.
I'm all for free speech, but a decent teacher's forum should have at least some rules of appropriateness.
