I teach English and I'm working on some websites that I hope to make money with soon. I'm not saying you can't find non-teaching jobs in Thailand, but if you can't find work in Thailand, why not go back home or at least an English speaking country?

I'll take some pics tomorrow (or technically today).

Agreed. They also make me angry. Just as "meng das" - useless - lazy - good for nothin' - Thai pimps make me angry.

What about "those" that allow babies to be used shamelessly as a 'begging tool'. Women begging with young children in their arms in an attempt to garner more sympathy from passers-by and money?

And normally the babies aren't the real children of the women in question.

Cool, so you teach English - are you qualified? If you dont mind me asking, cause I asked ya twice now.

As for the bit about going back or home or atleast to an 'English speaking country', I dont really get the logic in the logic of the second part.

Yes, I'm qualified. I've been teaching for a while now. So far I'm well liked and my students learn from me. I use no illegal paperwork like many other do. Even if I wasn't qualified, I wouldn't LIE. I do know a few schools who know the teachers are using fake documents and HELP them get away with it. Sympathy is not being used in this situation. You comparison is really bad. Try again. I really don't care if people beg for money. It's my choice to give them money or tell them no. I just don't like somone taking advantage of a good hearted person.

I mentioned the farang should at least move to an English speaking coutry becase...well...umm...he speak ENGLISH. HE's a native English speaker. It'll be harder than getting a job in his own country, but easier than Thailand. Thailand isn't too into hiring older people. He's also looking for a white collar office job which will narrow his options for employment in Thailand.

I'm starting to think you are this farang. I have a question. How much money do you make each day doing this?

Fucking hell, I can't believe it! How many farang are doing this shit now? Just a few years ago, you'd never see this crap going on! What the fuck do they think they're doing begging in a developing country?! I just don't get it.

I kind of get the feeling that the Thai police don't know what to do with them, either - these guys should be deported immediately, and never allowed to return to Thailand, IMO.

I actually saw that dutch begger a year or two ago. When I saw him he wrote on his sign, "How much can you give?" Like that would increase sales or something. Because he was the first farang beggar I saw, I fell for it. I gave him ten baht. He looked at me and rolled his eyes. I should have said, "Give it back if it's not enough." At least Thai beggars are grateful for one or two baht.
