cool let's use this thread to list them all, let's organise a freaking farang beggers bashing team, seriously

well, probably not actually beat them up

, but give them a freaking hard time at least, what's up with all them fucking Dutch beggars, I was just talking to my g/f about this the other day, remembered we saw a Dutch guy in chatuchack market with a sign about a ticket.

I also remeber 2 swiss lads when I was in Canada, had a sign "we're travelling around we don't have money to fly back" so what? I'm fucking travelling here, I bladdy work my way round fucking cunts.

there was a bit in the bkk post not so long ago, about students doing stuff like playing music, signing, dancing etc at chatuchack, apparently they make about 800-1200 baht a day, they got signs saying "for education" and ofcourse they'll be wearing their school uniform, and I can't help thinking : "yea right, your off to playing computergames when your done, buying the latest X-box or whatever"

but anyway the point is a 1000 baht a day sounds about right, so you don't have to feel sorry for them beggars especially for farang beggars.

imagine everybody in Thailand on a salary less then 30,000 thinking: "fuck it, I'm off with a sign sitting next to the road" Thailand as a nation would collapse overnight.

Just thinking of Thai people working 12 hrs a day 6-7 days a week for 7-8,000 baht and then having these beggars wake up whenever they feel like it, noon-ish, and go home at dinner time, and making more money, fuck pisses me off.

^ I reckon the Thais are probably just completely confused by it all. When my wife first saw a beggar in UK, her reaction was "Wow - you have beggars here, too?".

I think they know that there's no need for a farang to be begging in Thailand; but you'd think they'd try to stop it. It seems really weird that Thais are actually giving these people money. Sounds like an article about this needs to go in all the Thai newspapers - then the farang beggars would pretty soon have to pack up & go home. Cunts.

No one here who is so incensed about these sad cases has adequately explained what makes them so angry. Is it really impossible for someone traveling or working abroad to fuck up to such a degree that they become destitute? Perhaps they are mentally ill. If they have other opportunities to make cash but choose this, it is pathetic but hardly worth the venom.

It's instructive who people choose to measure themselves against.

Here's what makes me angry:
A man with (apparently) all his faculties, making 30 000 baht per month for sitting on his arse, feeding of others' (misguided) sympathy.

Is it impossible for someone to become destitute abroad? Yes, I think when you come from a developed country, it is. As I've mentioned somewhere on this forum before, I once found myself in Pakistan with no money and no plane ticket home. I left Islamabad on a flight to London two days later.

I think the path these characters have chosen is absolutely worth the venom. How dare someone from the developed world start begging in a developing country? There is no need for it. It is disrespectful to everyone who works for a living, and disrespectful to the host country.

If you are destitute, you can't work. Assuming he is getting 30k per month is pure speculation. You don't know the guy's circumstances. Perhaps he is just trying to get enough to get home. Perhaps he is mentally ill, as Bandini suggested. Perhaps he had all his assets stolen by one or two of the Thai people who you claim he is disrespecting. Perhaps he is a lazy sod and should be castrated. We just don't know.
