Re: Had Yai in Thailand
Sounds along the lines of how I remember it. Good times!

I love Hat Yai and southern food.
Any recommendations for restaurants in Songkhla?

Re: Had Yai in Thailand
well, in writing I'm not sure it'll sound all that special, but I was walking out of some disco down a crimson velvet lined tunnel kind of affair, and this lithe - a word I've been wanting to use for fucking ages - young lady with a bobbed haircut, which is a style I particularly dig on a woman, grabbed my arm and dragged me to the back of a tuk-tuk, took me to some other disco, bought me a load of beers, went back to the hotel and we fucked each other senseless until about 11 o'clock the next morning before collapsing in a messy heap of bodily fluids, blankets and discarded underwear.
Maybe you'd have to be there, but it was fucking great.

Re: Had Yai in Thailand
Said she was from Chiang Mai. No idea if she was rich, but she got a few rounds in.
Hmmm. Maybe I should have married her.

It's just that I remember you relating this story a few years ago. Though in the first telling you added more details. I guess I had forgotten some of them.
A sad fucking commentary on modern life. Years ago you knew all the jokes, tales and habits of your real life mates. You even ended up re-telling the wildest stories when the cunts weren't around. "I know this cunt who once blah blah blah..."
Nowadays, some anonymous cunt spins a tale online and years later he retells it and it sparks a memory of the first instance.

Re: Had Yai in Thailand
^ There was another one that was similar, but in Mae Sot ... she was from Chiang Mai as well, but she made me pay for the brandy.
Had a mate who got a muslim pregnant, converted to islam, married her, moved to hat yai, as soon as the kid was born he started fucking other women he met in the discos, they divorced, he started having seizures, had some brain operation, had to return to the Uk, asked ex-wife if she'd like to join him, she said yes, they lived there, his brain fell to pieces, he died in December, she's still over there, kids doing OK - lively little fukka.
Might have been that story,as that's the only one I have that involves muslims.

No, no - that sounds great. Really. Maybe I should get myself back down to Had Yai some time...

Re: Had Yai in Thailand
I lived there for about 16 months and loved it. Favorite bar was "Day and Night" where I used to sit in with the band whenever I came. GREAT people, awesome food, cheap as hell. I certainly wouldn't mind ending up there a lot down the road. It is a shame about the bombings, and that is something you have to deal with, but I loved the place.
