It seems there's quite a few tranny beauty pageants in Asia...as well as in the West WB mate....have a Google.

So when it's not tolerated, it doesn't happen as much. That implies that it is at least partly cultural. i.e. when the culture doesn't accept or tolerate it, it doesn't happen as much, and vice versa.

In your opinion...I'd probably say it's so 'popular' 'cos it's a lot more accepted than in the West (although I knew the odd transgender person in Reading). The amount of people that I know that have 'come out' in Thailand is quite amazing IMO!!!

If men said, "Paint your butt black and call yourself mangosteen", you'd see even more fruit on the pavements. Trying to figure out lb ways from outside the sub-culture is too difficult in all this heat....

Ladyboyism is more visible here because it's more accepted because of the culture of acceptance but ladyboyism isn't (apparently) to be considered as a cultural trait of Thailand because Ken says you can see stuff on Google.

Ladyboys don't have a uterus and they dress all slutty, so they can, in the immortal words of TC "catch a date"... hehe...

You can find one quite easily for fun, but having a relationship with one will immediately have you marked as a left-footer, and you may have to get a new username on Ajarn.
