The first time you feel kind of weird Will, not sure you should of done it, the second rendezvous is kinder on your brain, then slowly but surely comes the desire for more, more, MORE.really cute ones too, and the answer is no, but then I haven't been approached while alone and drunk yet...
Don't be afraid.

Still only on post #300 but catching up guys.
OK here's a true story. My girl's best friend is a post-op ladyboy as of several years ago. Sometime after having the operation she met a guy from New Zeland here in LOS. They fell in love and eventually moved back to NZ together and married. They've lived in NZ for 3 years together now and to this date he still doesn't know she used to be a man!! After hearing this I decided I want to see a post-op ladyboy's equipment. Not sure how to arrange something like that on a purely academic, non-sexual, level though.
Agreed, it's the acceptance that is part of Thai culture. Same concept with prostitution I think, it's not part of Thai culture but Thai's acceptance of it is.
Unheard of in 99% of the US. The social stigmatism against this sort of thing is huge, part of American puritan culture it is.
Definitely not. A woman must have all of the equipment; ovaries with eggs that can develop to an ovum which then travels down a fallopian tube and implants itself in the inside of their uterus. Menstruation comes from the shedding of the uterus' lining every month unless the ovum is fertilized by a sperm. All the sex change operation deals with is the genitalia.![]()

Sorry to harp on this point, but 'culture' is made up of all the facets of a society. How can you drive through a town with karaoke bars on every corner, coyote bars and go-go bars operating till the wee small hours, and girls who ask for 'shopping money' after spending the night, and say that "prostitution is not part of Thai culture"?
Utter nonsense.

Once upon a time, in a galaxy far far away, a friend told me that Thailand was like Pirates of the Carribean, except instead of pirates, there are prostitutes, and instead of the Carribean, there are prostitutes!"prostitution is not part of Thai culture"
Who is as wise as the wise man?
Who is more foolish? The fool, or the fool that follows him?
WB: "They seem to breed 'em out my way, really cute ones too...I haven't been approached while alone and drunk yet..."
The things men get up to when there aren't any witnesses!
....in the name of experimentation, of course.
...majestically enthroned amid the vulgar herd...
OK WB, I see your point. I would just add that in Asia financial compensation (e.g. shopping money, money for the parents, etc...) is seen as an expression of affection (love) and that makes things confusing for us who don't see it that way until we've been here a while and start to understand more. That is a cultural thing. I knew as I typed the word that prostitution was probably a bad analogy to illustrate my point.
To put this in perspective such places are the exception not the rule in the whole of Thailand just that they are most visited by westerners and therefore much more visible. As I'm sure you know Thais do it more discretely, before they get drunk, at the massage places where the real hotties are.

visiblity?

Yea, I guess that's all TC.
Maybe you're right, it is a part of the culture.

And we should all experience as much Thai culture as possible.
Riddle me this brother can you handle it
Your style to my style you can't hold a candle to it
Equinox symmetry and the balance is right
Smokin' and drinkin' on a Tuesday night
It's not how you play the game it's how you win it
I cheat and steal and sin and I'm a cynic
So true.
I totally disagree. On my one taxi trip through BKK to my hotel, all I saw were motosai repair shops and prostitutes. To put this in perspective such places are the exception not the rule in the whole of Thailand
Not many Westerners in Isaan, but the places still thrive.just that they are most visited by westerners and therefore much more visible.
Maybe the married ones, everyone else is ogling the dancing girls...As I'm sure you know Thais do it more discretely, before they get drunk, at the massage places where the real hotties are.
Is this a matter of location perhaps? Are there parts of Thailand that are more conservative? (...because all the cities and towns I've seen have 'action' 24/7)
I'm all for cultural acceptance, yes. How very humanitarian of you...
As is religion, warfare, and nude Twister...![]()

"I've got something in my front pocket for you.
Why don't you reach on in my pocket and see what it is.
There grab onto it - it's just for you.
Give it a little squeeze and say how do you do?
There's something in my front pocket!
Something in my front pocket! --"
