Big, spicy, several-dish Thai dinner at a half decent street stall like the one just inside Suk 20.
Then off to my first choice: 'Pathe' in Lat Prao, the owner used to live in the US and returned to Bangkok with his entire vinyl collection, displayed in the restaurant for all to look through and request. Beer is good, food is good, and music is fab. Music memorabilia plasters the walls and the prices are good, vey good.
Across the road from Central via the footbridge....near Union Mall.

Don't take offence, it was a jest. I know you're a bloke with selective lower morals when the need arises, like myself. How do you think I ended up at Spicy? A whole night out and still couldn't pull? Go to Spicy, it's practically a 100% sure thing.
I like Funky Villa and Demo. Muse isn;t too bad either.

An afternoon quickie at a massage establishment has been my lot for the past 3 years.

If that's the place in the Nana Hotel, it closed 8 or 9 months ago. I was a regular.

I was shocked when it closed. Angels had just undergone an expensive remodeling. The manager was an English fellow and very unpleasant, but Angels had a very good dance floor. In its heyday, the atmosphere at Angels was very fun, compared to the brutally direct 'sales' force now at Climax, or whatever that disco is called beneath the Ambassador Hotel.
I'm not exactly sure what some people that have posted on here expect to see at nightclubs in Thailand, ladyboys are part of their culture. My husband and I have been to Spicy on a number of occasions and have had nothing but great nights there. I would wait til at least 2am to make your way to Spicy as it doesn't really get going til after then.
If you're going to whinge about seeing people from other countries, men that are looking to pay for some female company, females that are looking to make some money or ladyboys THEN DON'T GO TO THAILAND!!!
We have had some of the best nights out at Spicy, been treated well by the staff there and showed friends some of the best times in Bangkok by finishing off a night out at Spicy. We have sent friends there who are holidaying in Thailand and they too have loved it. We go to Thailand to experience a different culture, it's good to go there where rules aren't really that important and you can let your hair down without feeling like you're at school.
I'd go back to Spicy in a heartbeat!
