My hair is thinning, but what I keep losing on my temple, I keep gaining on my ears, back and ass. So, I want to know once and for all does plucking/shaving really make your hair go thinner/stronger or it's all BS??? I am expecially worried about my ear hair cuz I'm starting to look like Yoda. Should I pluck it or just shave it? It's driving me nuts. How about treatments at the doc?
Thanks in advance.
plucking can lead to infection apparently
just trim it
except yer ass, there you should go for the bikini wax, to let you know yer still alive![]()

I have been taking finesteride for 13 years. I buy it in South East Asia. Take 1 MG per day. No side-effects. In Thailand it's OTC (over the counter).
From some people it takes 5-6 months. For me, it started working in about 2 months and I grew hair back.
Go to any pharmacy. You can also research finesteride via google.
I pluck ear hairs...never got an infection or heard of anyone getting infected because they plucked. Must be really dirty buggers for that to happen.
Luckily I don't have thinning problems, but if I did I don't know that I'd be bothered to do much about it. It's just life, after all.
talk to many people about plucking do you?

1Tweezing is okay for one or two hairs, especially if they're soft and come out easily. However, be very careful to keep the tweezers from poking your ear drums.
Step2For a relative tuft of fuzz, get some special "needle holder" tweezers (e.g. blunt-nosed). They enable you to grab and yank lots of hairs at once from the roots.
Step3Electric clippers aren't permanent, but they're the safest. Get one that is small and safe with its purpose being specifically ear/nose hair. As this is temporary, you'll need to keep up on it and therefore want a quality trimmer which will last you a while.

Actually, at our age (okay, my age) some of the most common things that you talk about with other foreigners are miles away from topics you'd talk about back home;
diarhhea
gout
hookers
STDs
Condom usage
bodily functions
ageing processes (hair removal, coloring, etc.)
But also, it's not that plucking is that common a conversation subject but if you met your mate in a bar, wouldn't you say, "Shit, Mark. What the fook happened to your ear?" "Ah, I was pluckin' them damned white hairs and got an infection."
You see, infections are also something else expats talk about more than they would back home.
I don't know why this is, perhaps because there are so few people who speak our language and share many of the same trials and tribulations that we do.

Ok, I don't care about losing hair, so I won't be using any growth products and from what I gather I should just get a quality electric clippers. So, what's the difference between clipping and just shaving it off?
Man the f*** up and get it shaved off.
The obsession with baldness is as shallow and ridiculous as the Thais' obsession with white sakin!
I clipper mine to no. 1 length. Shaving'd be a nightmare, cutting the old noggin open by accident!![]()
