My in-laws live in Nong Khai.
They have a neighbor whose deadbeat husband loads his wife up on the moto-sai and drives her to the Sudsy every night around 7 p.m.
He's such a nice guy for giving her a lift. She usually finds her own way home because he's too saused to go get her. Often she has a ride anyway.
I give her fuck all - the odd 1000 here and there but she gets holidays food clothes if she sees some she likes the odd bit of gold here and there - but nothing regular - if she wans money she could ask but she doesn' - hopefully she has a rich man on the side taking care of her

Well I don't particularly like Norwegians myself.
There rude drunks who like to throw their weight around when they're pissed and their not at all concerened about giving their women a good slapping either.
The high divorce rate in Norway coupled with the high alcoholism rate has seen the scummy side of Norway heading to Thailand for some time on a mission to find a bargirl they can take home.

Why a girl from tropical north-east Thailand choose to go and live in the ice and snow is beyond me but it's never going to be a good mix is it?

These girls aren't all bad. I have a friend who has spent years sponsoring one. She now lives in Nong Khai where she works in a shop for Bht 4,500 per month while the farang pays for her driving lessons, computer lessons, English and music lessons. I expect she will need tennis coaching soon.
By way of proof that she's now a "Good" girl she no longer has a mobiile phone which naturally makes it difficult for the guy to contact her, but that's the price he is prepared to pay because she is a "Good" girl.

If you don't believe me ask the girl herself. She works in Saphan Kwai now where her clientele are all Thai men.
On the whole, I love how it's almost always the guy who threw down 500,000 baht sinnsot, bought his wife a house, 10 baht gold...and has her and her family on a monthly stipend telling me it's all about the love and not about the money.
I threw down 100,000 baht sinnsot, 50% up front and 50% on our 1 year anniversary, (with the iron-clad 'agreement' that after that the well is dry)...
After that, I paid everything due to circumstances, i.e. one small baby following another...but now that the youngest is old enough it's sink or swim time;
I pay everyones necessities... and that's it.
I don't pay for clothes, make-up, mobile phone, buy gold, etc.
I can't say it makes me popular; but I also can't say that I really care.
