MBK open for business as usual...the fake Gucci handbags seemed to be popular with the French...Just outside Tokyu on the second floor, I noticed Brit teenagers pricing hand-held water cannons...tourists don't seem to be unsettled by what the little brown folks get up to...

    ...that's nice...

I'm shocked that the Central stores are closed. Central is pretty much where most Bangokians spend their free time! I don't think that they were closed in the last coup.

Nat, are you suggesting that we protest the Songkran holiday or just protest during Songkran?

Anyways, it's nice that they're staying away from the centres of civilisation like the Paragon, and focussing on the areas few of us know about like 'Government House' as al jazeera call it.

And that the petrol bombs are in 'fun size' red bull bottles.

Will soon give new meaning to "Bangkok is da bomb." Thailand has made the front page of the NY Times and the Wall Street Journal here in the US.

I've noticed that too, what a laugh, guess the poor sods can't afford to fill a big bottle, this is more economical, with the economic crisis going on and all.

Oh my stars and whiskers, now we're critiquing the size of Thai molotov cocktails. I guess size does matter tho in Thailand.
