Whot's up Nat?
Care to expand some?
I don't get your drift.
If it's another cheap shot at this moronic idea that just because you spot the occassional spelling ( or what you consider "grammatical error") in posts here, that that makes you some kind of language expert, then I think you must be seriously dilluded. And I do mean seriously.
Another thing. I'm not a bloody mind reader nor are many.
Another deep shot from far left field .
Oh and by the way, fete du Canada.![]()

the spelling error parts need a little sympathy guys...the teacher is probably overworked to the gills.
the copy and paste part is where id goa but nuts. maybe its not even her evaluation in the first place. in fact, if its cut n pasted with "him" everywhere, you could argue this isnt fair, as its riddled with erros that point to the wrong stuent being evaluated. repeatedly <-- is the key here.
but go easy on the spelling stuff. if we were judged on mistakes so minor, even in a report card, we would have a hard time lving up to it. the teacher probably has hundreds of kids to do this for.
spelling - not so big a deal
but proof that the evaluator/teacher isnt paying attention to who the person is- woah. worthy of a letter AND a word.
remember to show them photocopied pages...as a proof that you have copies and they cant delete this mistake
but dont be a flaming asshole either. remember the teacher is probably swamped and your sister isnt the most important person in their world.
I disagree. I'm hoping overwork is the explanation, because if a trained native-speaking teacher is making mistakes on a word processor (which has spell-check, no doubt) like 'fimiliar' and 'supporte' then I should send some of my students, who have English as a third language, to take the job.
How can you model English if you can't spell?![]()

Lots of school in the U.K now do their reports from a computer programme. You get a whole load of phrases and you delete the ones that don't apply. Our principal used to proofread them and give some back if they were wrong. The fact your principal didn't read them carefully was his fault. I'd save your complaint for another day. All you prove is the principal was lazy and the teacher didn't read them carefully enough. If the teacher gets in trouble do you think she's going to help your son any better. I know its poor on the schools front but I don't think ther is anything to be gained by complaining.
Carefully or otherwise.
I have to disagree with you Peel.
These folks are public servants spending tax dollars.
When a person sees something this glaring and does nothing about it, I would say they were ignoring an inportant public duty, i.e. keeping civil servants accountable.
If the teacher were to take a complaint out on your child in any way, then they would be better off out of the system.
It's truly sad that a report like that ever left the doors of the school.
Accountability please.

I know where you're coming from Russ but complaining won't change the outcome. Maybe a letter will go somewhere rather than directly complaining. Having to write reports with the stupid computer programme is tiresome after a long year. I'd never take the complaints out on a child but as a teacher when complaints come, you do tread more carefully and if your not careful the student begins to widen his or hers boundaries and misbehave. I agree though it is pathetic. I'd photocopy the report with all the errors and ask the principal for a written explanation.
I hav to do a few dayz in a primary sachool afta enrollment...My sisterz sachool is the nearest to me,, so I will go to see the head--teacher about a temp placement there.. If all goez well, i'll sa-pend a few dayz there,, have him/her sign da formz,, thank him/her very much for havin me & then hand over a copy of the report with highlighted erroz![]()
A polite letter would probably yield better results that storming down there, or being a smart-ass. Although I'd do the latter.![]()
