Which activity would you choose?

I've been invited for a weekend at some resort with my wife's company. I managed to get out of it last year but I guess I've finally run out of excuses. The resort is located somewhere in a forest near a Thai waterfall (so think of a large bath overflowing) and Saturday's activity involves a day at leisure and a big outdoor meal and piss-up in the evening. On Sunday, there is a choice of three activities

1) Water-rafting (which being a non-swimmer thrills me no end)
2) Paint-ball (which I've never tried but looks like fun)
3) ATV racing (which I think is driving across bumpy terrain in buggy type things)

Which one would you go for? Any experiences with options two and three?
If I went for option two and shot at Thai men from close range, is it likely to hurt? Or rather is it likely to hurt a lot?

atv's would be a blast, but id bet its a short trip, due to cost and ability of people to massively screw something up. paintball is just downright fun and exhilarating.

it stings, but it'll take the pussy right outta ya phil. give it a go!

I agree - PAINTBALL! I haven't done this in Thailand though, I'd be a wee bit cautious doing my Rambo bit where nasty snakey things might be but, Good Lord yes, it's a great excuse to be a kid again.

In my last job we'd do paintball as a 'do' and then go on to a pub after and get slaughtered. What freaked me out a tiny bit was that some of the other teams did it EVERY weekend and took it all very seriously, with their own super-duper machine guns and everything, all the camo gear, the works. I never wanted to get involved with them and we never did, there were enough of us to form 2 or 3 teams thankfully. The people who ran the thing were well switched on to things like safety and stuff, which is just as well - a paintball in the eye would definitely blind you. Those things can hurt!

But then again - ATVs are brilliant fun too.

I don't believe that you could go wrong on ANY of those activities, tbh. Have fun!

Concur with Franny and Ana. I've done all 3, but Paintball was, for me, the most fun.

Even at close range it only stings a little. Plus the paint balls are so cheap you can go for many rounds if you're having fun!

Any idea where it's going to be held? I might know some of the paintball courses.

Looks as this is going to be repetitive but definitely paintball. Does it hurt, hell yes, if the guns are turned up. The thrill you will get stalking your pry or being stalked will have your heart racing. Before the games began visualize that crazy driver or complete asshole you want to extract some revenge on and then show no mercy.

i have seen atv here but looks very crap, did it in new zealand and it was ace
id go with the paintball

Vote for PB as well although will you be doing it with a bunch of Thais?

Iv dun sum balling & suppoze messin arownd on a quad is near da ATV experience,, so person-ally I wood chooze rafting.

Having not done all 3,, I would deffo choose paintballing.. Not sure how enjoyables it would be in the scawching sun though

I like paint ball but make no mistake about it, those damn things will leave a mark and I'm talkin a nice little bruise . . . don't even think about going out on the field without a helmet, long sleeve shirt, and long britches

if it was a good river i'd go for the water rafting myself, but for a non swimmer, paintballing sounds like fun.

I'd choose whitewater, but since you are a non-swimmer, I'd agree with the group and say..PAINTBALL!

Paintball hurts, or should I say, stinks like a mofo, but only for a few minutes. You may have some bruises afterwards. Paintball is great fun, especially because you can run and hide, and pretend that you are on the run from madmen. Just do it!
