To all our American friends, posters, compadres. Happy Thanksgiving. Are you doing anything to celebrate it? Having a nice turkey dinner? Yum Yum.

Thanx Nat - Happy Thansgiving back at you. I dislike the food but love the holiday. Everyday is thanksgiving for me.

We usually eat Italian, but my 5 year old never had turkey and she asked me to make the traditional American meal. I will eat the crispy skin and later on a few turkey sandwiches on fresh Italian bread.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the Native Americans for finally going quietly into the wind.

Thanks Nat, and Eid Mubarek for over there. Enjoy the divine food.
This is my first Thanksgiving in the USA for decades, and I've been invited to my mate's family's house for a really traditional dinner. James is even making proper mince pie, with venison and fruit. Kathy told me that when they were little their mum would boil tins of sweetened condensed milk for hours until it congealed and browned into a sliceable caramel blob, so I've been boiling tins of......to surprise the family tomorrow. I did a test run on the concoction yesterday - it's WAY too sweet for me but my housemate almost ate the whole thing. I sat there watching and waiting for her to die of a heart attack or her head to blow off. She's ok. Bleh.
I'm thankful for everything. All of it. It's all the way it's supposed to be. And I, too, thank my native friends for being so gracious and hospitable, despite us. Migwetch.

Jesus is coming, open your mouth.
Not Thanksgiving but went out for turkey last Xmas with some Thai friends. They just looked at each other and asked the waitress for sweet chili sauce...![]()

Thank you
In view of our forum ( I use OUR as a collective membership expression as opposed to an expression of actual ownership of the forum) being spread around the world I feel we should indeed send our best wishes to the chaps and chapesses who reside in our new world American colony and indeed in the fair land of Siam.
So from me ''An Englishman in Siam''
I extend my heartfelt good wishes to our fellow colonial forum members and indeeed any casual colonial readers of this forum in the American colonies or elswhere upon the Day of Thankging.
I do however offer my condolences to the Turkeys who are participating in the celebration knowingly or not.
Thankyou for your supreme sacrifice upon this day.
May your families be forever honoured for the supreme sacrifice that has been made.
