Must say I did look at their ads a few years ago when I was purchasing a truck. But I went with the local new car dealer. Thankfully.

Read the thread over there--a real nightmare for about 10 people and seems like the failed former telf teacher has skipped LOS back to the UK.

Do you ever drive past a teacher who's probably standing at a bus-stop waiting for the next non-aircon, and think "that used to me"?

All the time. I usually have a chuckle, but I could be back there one day

That kind of attitude fucks me right off. What is there to chuckle about.

Thing is - why the fuck havent any of them got rid of their problem the easy way? Burn the fucker, break it up or ensure its 'nicked' and vanishes east?

I especially like this part of the interview-

Why do you think he fled Cream?

1. Pissed off farangs who cannot get title
2. Thai finance company with thugs losing millions of baht to finance those vehicles.
3. Thai business associate who is already in jail.

Not pretty.

That said, I have learned 2 things in Thailand:

1. Never spend or commit yourself to buy anything that you cannot comfortably walk away from.
2. Never go into business with a Thai. If it succeeds, they force you out. If it fails, you are blamed and held accountable.

I will let this run for now mate but it seems like something you should ask a lawyer about and we don't wanna be in any legal shit.

A couple of them ran a language school (now defunct) out Bang-Na way, as some of you older members of this forum may recall the late Grasshopper worked for them and he got ripped off by the two guys.

One was an ex grease monkey from the brickyards of Peterborough U.K. with no qualifications, the other was a failed civil servant, they originally all worked at K. College in Central Tower Bang-Na some 11 years ago under the guidance of the late John Mountford ( who was stabbed to death in Libya in either June or July of 2009.)

Indeed birds of the feather all flocked together.

If you met A.W. face to face you wouldn't have even bought a pencil from him.

And what qualifications does one need to qualify them to run a language school in Thailand? Would an Ex-Grease Monkey somehow be less effective in business than some cat with a month long certificate?

I'm not disputing what you say there but just for a bit of balance, Ajarn Denny was also one of Andy W's friends. There's a hot seat interview with Ajarn Denny as well, and the work he did with ABAC students to get their own novels published. He was one of the most respected teachers at ABAC I believe. I say was; he probably still is. I haven't seen him for a while.
Like Andy Wing's hot seat interview, the hot seat interviews are a 'snapshot in time' - in this case possibly 5 years ago. I've had hot seat interviewees ask me to take the interviews down after a few years because circumstances change. As I said - they are snapshots in time.
