After much cussing and discussing...I pulled the trigger and now have a date of December 19, 2006 to arrive and become an expat resident of Thailand. So that gives me I guess 497 more days to go. My official retirement date will be March 1, 2007 and I'll ease into life in LoS with about 72 days terminal leave.
The only thing I have to decide is whether I'll start off in Nakhonsawan being a TEFLer for a couple of years or take a couple years subsidized vacation, at Uncle Sam's expense, at one of Thailand's fine university establishments
