Where is the best place to live in your home country....

If someone were to move to your home country where would you suggest they live and why?

For Australia, I would suggest Cairns, Nth Queensland. Tropical but quite mild, beautiful rainforests, ok beaches, Great Barrier Reef. Downside: the occasional risk of cyclones...

Depends on what they could afford. The West Coast is probably the most coveted. San Francisco is a city Europeans like. New England is old and Europe-like. San Diego probably has the best climate.

I always thought New Mexico would be a great place to live. Never have though.

Depends where you are coming from. For many people, a London surburb like Hackney or Bermondsey seems to work quite well. You can go into the post office every Thursday and receive a great big wad of banknotes. It's great.
The worst job in Thailand must be the man who has to sit down with a blue marker pen and mark a number two on the two-baht coins to stop people thinking they are one-baht coins.

Sunshine Coast has cleaner beaches, no stingers, not as hot, minimal risk of cyclones and excellent surf breaks.

Quote "the best place would be denial." Thats where I lived in Egypt, nice by the riverside.

In Canada I would have to say the sunny Okanagan is the place to be.

Oregon or Washington state. Near the coast. Bring raingear, a wool sweater and a water-proof tent and have at it, hoss.

    right on!

Cape Town, if you're moneyed. Or the South Coast, Natal. Or East London.
