so it's early morning, finished brekky and the temperature in my fan room is still tolerable... and there's no effing band playing outside my window. time for a nap i say to myself. start to get situated and this little black spider starts jumping around the head of the bed next to my pillow. now, it is a little spider, but in the US we have the brown recluse which can leave nasty necrotic wounds... and it is a little spider too.
i don't kill stuff for sake of convenience though so i tried to catch the little bugger but failed. he's nimble and has "spider sense" i guess. anyway, bang a water bottle around and scare him off.
start to Google spiders in Thailand to set my mind at ease so i can sleep and soon feel pretty confident that the little guy isn't a threat. so i shift into a reclining position and set my netbook aside and
jump jump jump
there he is... 6 inches from my hand... on the opposite end of the bed that i'd first seen him... lol... i jump up a little freaked and he jumps into the spot i just vacated... he'd either gone around me while i was on the bed conducting research or he's got a buddy
so i caught him in a bit of tupperware and am about to escort him outside... don't think i'll need that nap now.

I hate spiders, don't see many in my house thank god. I had quite a few scorpions when I lived down south which always freaked me out late at night.
I'm on my 2nd cup of tea and the GF is moody at me for reasons only known to her. Gonna have a beer in a bit. That should cheer her up...

it'll get worse before it gets better i'm afraid. i leave Tuesday to stay in a goshiwon in Busan. provided war doesn't break out on the peninsula it'll probably be a lot like this... ( the vid is humorous )
