Sunee Plaza? There are some bloody good restaurants around there for a start. It can be quite Soho-ish. Also, yobbo free - and that's a plus in Pattaya. (Oh, and the second hand book shop (Books for Life?), excellent.

I'd recommend the place to anyone, except arseholes and cavemen.

I'm wondering if that place 'Cuisine Buerre' or whatever its called is still in business. I would imagine it is, as it was reasonably priced and the daily specials were pretty ok.

I don't know, Pat. I'm rubbish at remembering names of places. There was a white place that did an evening buffet but I''ve been informed that it's gone now. There was a little place called Monty's (now gone) that was really eccentric. He had one menu and only one menu every night. Whatever he decided, that was what you had. It was basic fare, but bloody delicious. For instance, a minestrone soup that was fantastic, followed by something like Fish and Chips and an Apple Crumble. Whatever. He was a bit of a home cook I think rather than a restauranteur so it was all quite homely. And great.

In the past this may have worked against areas like Canal Street (Manchester UK) because peeps know that thay can have a good night out without any hassle. I remember that so-called 'hen' parties were actually pissing a lot of the regulars off and they were talking about a ban just before I came out here in 2003.

Decent food. No shaven-headed football twats. Sounds pretty good to me.

Yeah I been there, different each night, but always a good nosh for a very reasonable cost, always a soup starter amongst many other things, and the mains were always decent.

I'm trying to recall how much it was, I was there in 2005 last time..it was something like 189 Baht all in? Could have been even cheaper, like 125.
